So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
This is absolutely amazing. This guy in Portugal bought a farm and in the forest he found this huge barn. It had been untouched for years. So badly that all the doors had been rusted shut. He took a grinder to open the doors and look what he found.

Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
Eh... I feel like that everytime I open my garage door. OMFG!! But really...How can you miss not seeing a barn of that size checking out the property before hand? I wonder if he got the titles with them. lol.
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidde
yeah i have to call a fake on that one... would be a realy good fucken surprise though... if it is real well i bet we will be seeing alot of ventage cars on ebay soon....
those fuckers are worth some serious money... even in the state they are in... which doesnt look to be bad.. |
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
Yeah i wonder what the real deal behind all of that is. most of those cars looked like they hadn't been sitting for too long. but still what can you do with all of those cars if you have no title. Can you get a title re-issued to you over there?

usually when you buy a farm or large estate property there is something saying wether any equipment/antiquties are included, usually they are with farms. so if that is the case he legally owns all those so getting titles shouldnt be a problem |
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
^^^^^^^thats what i was thinking
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
Probebly worth what he paid for the house.
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
The title thing was kind of a joke but really. How can you not see a barn of that size housing that many cars on property your buying. The cars look like they've been there for quite some time so I'm not saying he just drove them in there and flattened the tires and toss a bunch of dust on them. Also what kind of farms have forest? Maybe like one selling christmas trees or something but when I think of farms...or atleast around here "farms" just have treeless land where they grow plants and veggies and that type of ---- or livestock. I'm gonna have to pull my Carlos Mensteala card on this.
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
^^yeah man, i'm with you, thats a HUGE barn to just overlook when you sell some property, there must have been a road to it at least to get that many cars in there. I would have ---- my pants if I found that. Yeah, we just bought a farm and anything on the property goes to the new owner unless its written to the old owner by the lawyer when you transact land. On the property we bought 3 years ago I found an old 6x6 amphibious 2 seat vehichle in the grainery of the barn on the property.

Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
you got to remember this IS NOT in the U.S this is in Portugal....i can see how it could happen...the og owner was old as ----, he died someone from his family was selling the house and land not nowing about the barn...well if this land was on like 15-20 acres i can see how a barn as big as that one would get lost in the woods, espially if no one took care of the over grown property...
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidde
you also got to think its porta rico... a tiny island were land large enough to house a shack of cars that big is very rare and this story is starting to sound more like bullshit every minute...
but its still a good little car dreamers fantasy... i would believe it if it was some remote city in florida that some old fogey owned and had lost all his family in a tragic car accident years ago and doesnt ever want to drive again so he locks up the storage facility full of old ventage cars and throws away the key then he dies and some long lost cousin gets the land and becuase uncle ass fucker hated this cousin the cousin never wanted to even look at the property and just sold it as is... |

Now the guy who bought the semi trailers in WI that had all that muscle car stuff if believeable. But this I ain't buying. Portugal isn't under Spain..it's on the western side of it. If it was south of Spain it'd be in Africa. Jackass.

around VA and MD you see farms w/ 100-250acres for sale on the regular. many of them advertise saying "numerous outbuildings and structures" so for this to happen isnt out of the realm of possibility. like you said it was prob from some OG portuguese farmer guy and it has been in his family for generations. most of the large farms around here were built back in the mid 1800's and a few from the 1700's and they prob stayed in the family for most of their "working" lives |
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidde
:'( it makes me sad because that will never happen to my poor unlucky ass.
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
it may not happen in this magnitude but finding ---- in unusual places is pretty common, how do you think the antique roadshow got so popular??
my dad (who works HVAC ----) asked me to help him install some gas piping at his friends house. while i was under the house in the crawlspace i found a tin full of baseball cards from the 50's. no real great players but it was still worth $300 just because they were old and in mint condition. |
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
I bet it was somewhere were the previous owner probably believed was out of his property line. When I sold my house in Cali it turned out that the fence that divided my property fence was 1.5' into my property so I was loosing 117sqft( :P). Might be a possibility that that’s the case here to the extreme :-\

I'd kill to have that pretty much mint 356 :o
|
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidde
i would be happy to just find the barn..if you can call it that. that is one stout SOB. Don't see to many barns that big made from block and concrete. They where certainly safe in there. I can even see gas lines and a forced air heater in one of the pictures.

Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidde
I bet they're stolen, each and every one of them.
If not, Barett Jackson jackpot. |
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
i'm gonna have to say that it has to be a fake. just like the story that a guy that one of your friends knows bought a nearly mint (insert car of choice here) from some old lady that had just been sitting in the garage for years while her son was away in the army, he died so he's selling it. he buys it for 1500 ::). lol, i swear everybody has heard a story similar to that.

If you buy a house and while digging a pool you find the Holy Grail burried there, it belons to you. The cahtelic church mught fight you over it and you might end up bankrupt or even dead but it would be yours... :P |
Re: So Imagine You Buy A Farm. In The Forest You Find A Barn. You Open The Hidden Ba
Whatever is on your property is yours to a point. Say your doing some digging and low and behold it's a burial ground for some tribe you may live by. Doesn't mean you can just toss the bones in a KFC bucket and sell anything worthwhile. That's like digging up somebodies grave and keeping the jewerly or gold teeth they have.
