Sucks to be you!

Not always...this would be a recommended way to do it, but some of the older houses actually have the service masts falling off. Having the power co. come and do it is the way i prefer, but sometimes you have no choice.

Nope, not union either. Was union in NJ for a little while, but now i do mostly new residential wiring and service calls. PA has some interesting laws regarding electricians...mainly you don't have to be licensed, although it is a plus for business ;) It's not the voltage that kills you...it's the current.

---- everyday I work on heavy ass vehicles made of big chunks of armored steel, and every ass engines, big ass wrenches, in the freezing cold, sometimes with no light. and every six months I am in a dander zone getting shot at or mortors comming at my work place. watching friends and co workers dying. now much danger is that? plus when I am not in a danger zone for a year to 6 months I am in training training an inexperienced person shooting next to you or having someone shooting blanks at you, how easy it is to mix up the ammo?

i have the chance of a battery blowing up on me ::) i also have the chance of getting lead poisoning from soldering. i burn my fingers all the time from shorting out batteries. hearing and feeling your skin fry and then getting a whiff sucks. but i prob have more of a chance breaking my foot than dying.

I work in a bodyshop so I guess theres some danger. More helath concerns than anything... There's been fires and someone almost blew the paint room up while I was mixing paint one day. The stupid ass walked right in without reading the signs first and lit one up! :6
