How are these pistons going to work with boost? I assume they are just the standard 149198 A6 pistons correct? If so, let me know how they hold up to the boost. JE recomends not using them for boost but since options for the ZC are limited, these might work out. Keep us posted.

The ZC dohc head has a larger cc then all d-series engine hence the the dome on their pistons compared to any other sohc head. I'm assuming he went with those pistons so the compression wouldn't be too low.

I am aware of the ZC head design. I want to know how they hold up to boost. They are not "technically" designed for boost. I am sure they put this disclaimer on the box since 11:1 compression is not particularly boost friendly. I have a few sets on the shelf that I have pondered thowing in one of my boosted ZC's but just haven't had time to test it out.

I've never seen that stated. They are still a fored piston with the same manufacturing process of any of thee other one, just a dome instead of a dish

I've read alot of write ups about those RHD swaps and I never heard of anyone bracing it. Just wondering if you know it's needed, or you are doing it for the just in case kinda thing.

On a 88-91 The firewall does extend into the floor fan. It wraps under the car and about 6-8" toward the back. I can hardly stand in the car in that area right now without pushing the floor down.

I fiqured what is the bracing going to hurt. Even if it's not need it's a peice of mind of things not moving around.

I think it is just for the people who would try to put them in an A6 and boost on them. I am pretty sure they will work just fine. They are forged so there should be any issue there. I am ready to see your results and how they work.

where did you get the components for the rhd conversion.. or are you use master cylinder from a us version?

looks like you do have a lot of work to do.. looks like a good start though
