Silk Road Online Players?
 

Anyone here play Silk Road beside Tekno and myself? If so what server? Im on Tibet. For those of you that don't know, its a rpg like DAoC or EQ. Not a shooter so don't bother if you aren't an RPG guy. I have been having a shut down issue with memory addressing. I just tried a reinstall.

The game is free to download and free to play. My screen name on Tibet is Homicide if you are playing.

my little brother plays that like 15 hours a day. he's on babble network i think i dunno.

his character is pretty sick. killing giants and ---- in 2-3 hits, hella more fun than when you first start.

he's been playing for like 8 mmonths or so. he's almost level 70 i think i don't remember. he plays a lot, averages like 6-8 hours a day. :3

Link doesn't work for me, I did a search for the site and it came to some homepage telling me the site was optimized for Internet Explorer. There wasn't any link on the page to enter the site so I gave up.

The game takes time like all the other RPG games. It has a steep learning curve compared to shooters. You have to learn the game. Its not for everyone.

most of you won't understand it when you first start and then get frustrated and quit. it's sorta "hard", but it is a pretty cool (if addicting is cool) game

Yeah it can be confusing at first. We have a ventrilo server*voice chat* so if anyone has a mic i can explain it really well and prolly get you going and if you dont have a mic i could still explain it just makes it harder.

Anyone played Minions of Mirth? I've heard good things about it, there is a free version and a premium version for $30. No monthly fee for either one, and they support OS X and Windows.

EDIT: I've played for about 1.5 hours now, and the game is pretty good. Not terribly high requirements but my laptop doesn't have a very good graphics chip. Give it a look.

I have it downloaded + played glitchy. Just updated DirectX, and have the motherboard patches going on. I'll ping you on Oasis, tekno, but I think I should play for an evening to rub off some of my n00bness before I pester you with too many Q's. ;D

i kinda waundered too far off and got hit by a monster that took 120 hp in one hit and killed me in 2 hits. that was discouraging ;D

It reall just depends the kind of char you wanna make. You have two types intelligent[lots of magic] and strength[lots of health]. Only add the points when you level to 1 of them either hp[strenght] or mp[intelligence] adding some to hp and some to mp is bad. Dont level any skills for the first 10 levels or so if you can. I have 2 characters and they are both pure strength fire glavie. Basically I would either pick a bow or glavie. Bow with ice owns and glavie with fire works great.
