Setting engine to TDC without a socket for the crank pulley
I had my car in my college auto shop and I was replacing a blown head gasket.. I think I might have put my distributor in a tooth off.
The shop is now closed for finals, so I don't have access to all their tools. I borrowed a craftsman tool set from my friend, but usually I set my motor at tdc with a big ass socket that I don't have access to now. Any other ways to set the motor to tdc without a crank pulley socket? 240sx ka24de |

buy a socket, they don't cost that much. you'll probably need it again anyways

Re: Setting engine to TDC without a socket for the crank pulley
You dont need a crank pully socket. Just a socket big enough to fit on the bolt holding the poully in place. If I remember rite its like a 17mm or so.
