Sell my car? -for a ITR
 

Question of the day, should I sell my car? I come across deals all the frickin time and this time is no different. Found an ITR that I could get dirt cheap, probably around $4g's. Its stock other than an exhaust, the guy put the black ITR seats in it vise the red, Mugen CF hood and its got some suspension on it. Thats about it.

My car I could probably get around $4,000 out of it as it is, maybe a little more. In the states I could get a ---- ton more for it, but im not in the states.

My car:
94 SiR

Engine:
b16 with the Toda stroker kit 1800cc
Toda A intake cam, B exhaust, toda cam gears
Toda valve springs, retainers
ported head
LSD tranny
Newer exedy clutch
Feels lightweight flywheel
trap door oil pan
header which I believe is a Spoon header, but it has a slight crack in it. No dings at all. need to be replaced soon.
Spoon N1 axle back
engine management, it has some sort of tune on it, I dont know what though. No redline and it pulls hard all the way to 9500rpms, probably has a little more in it, but im not going past the tach.

Suspension & Brakes:
Spoon rear upper and lower bars
Stock front upper s. bar.
OEM ITR front lower tie bar
Spoon street stuts
H&R race springs
ATS brake lines
Apexi slotted rotors
Better pads are going on this weekend
High temp fluid
Cusco master cyl brace
SSR Sprint Hart, 3 peice wheels with good tires, 95% tread.

Interior:
decent Corbeau bucket driver seat
Nice Bride Brix II pass seat
CD player
decent speakers

Other
There are a few other things on it like the Spoon wing and PIAA lights, Mugen side skirts etc. Just to add more to it.

The car was mint when i got it. Not a ding in it. Now its got a few car door dings in it. Stupid fucks have no respect for anyone's cars over here. I was backed into last week, cracked the headlight, chipped the bumper and twisted the hood a little. No biggie, the light im going to fix the light and let the other stuff go I think. Not that noticable...but its enough to piss me off. Just one of those things. It also has some rust where the hatch glass and the body come together.

So what do you think? Sell my car for a 95% stock ITR or keep what I have. Its bacially going to be an almost even trade. Pictures will be posted, im about to take a look at it here in about an hour.

there isnt much of a theft ring for hondas, if any. There have been quite a few nissans broken into here lately though.
I wouldnt be to worried about leaving the car unlocked somewhere. Buddy of mine has a DC5R and a DC2R and another friend with a DC5R, and another friend with a DC2R 4dr. They havent ever had any problems. -Nor have I had any problems with my car. I wouldnt be to worried about it at all. I leave my car unlocked more than I lock it. To anwser your question, no, its not a major theft target. I think the silvia that parks across the street is more of a target than my honda.

Is it faster...as ive mentioned many times, im not much into the straight line driving here. Playing in the turns is where I get my rush now. I have played the straight line game for shits and giggles with my buddy and his DC2R and it was pretty much dead even. his motor is 100% stock other than a header and exhaust. ive never run him in the curves in his DC2R. His DC5R didnt pull AT ALL on me in the curves the night I ran him. My hatch is pretty ------ solid in the curves. If I had a place to pass him, I could have.

Its going to be more of an upgraded car. My plans with my hatch was to bring it home and put everything into a type R shell. now if I get this DC2R, everything will still be brought back and made into a real R with real R parts. ;) So I guess im sayin im also looking into the future with this car also....

its hot as balls here and I have a life to live. dismanteling a car and goin through the paper work isnt going to be easy or fun to do. not to mention alll of the parts gotta be hauled down to Naha. so yes, $3000 is JYR fee...

sorry Frank I thought you just droped her off at ups and said "I need to ship this to canada please" well not really but I didn't know you had to do all that. That price is good dont get me wrong but I really only want the engine swap, 2 black recaro seats, and some 5lug ---- (would prefer 32 mm axles) so I cant justify 10,000 usd so I can through the body away ;) That car looks nice but I like the hatch better. Chad.

I'd trade in a hot minute. Those civics aren't anything as special as honda-tech would have you believe. The type R is the grand daddy. Buy it, and when you get back here ship it with you. In 20 years you'll be that guy sitting on a mint 69 camaro. Git-R-done :y

yeah, i know. I mean, the R is the R. Next thing up Honda wise would be the NSX, and thats classified as a 'super car'. The R would be the grand frickin daddy of them all. Would I bring the entire car back, probably not. I would leave the shell here and bring home everything else and then find a recovered shell somewhere and 'restore a R'. I love my hatch, its set up pretty ------ solid. But at the same time I have a chance to pretty much trade for a type R.

its a serious toss-up. I think I might throw mine on the market here and see what happens, if I get any takers. if it happens, it does, if it doesn't, it doesn't.

Dude, honestly. Go R, I am with Stealthmode here, the bottom line is that if you go R, and you get it back here in one piece. 50 Years from now, you will be at shows with a Matching number/paint number Honest to Goodness LHD ITR.

The hatch is pretty sweet especialy with the Spoon blingness, but I would get the ITR. That thing looks super clean. :y

ehh.....I have it for sale as local as I can get. I will probably park it in a parking lot this weekend where it should get lots of attention.

the engine, the body panels, interior, suspension, wheels, it has to be a BARE shell to ship. accually...it has to be a bare shell to go through customs.

that shouldnt be to bad. just a matter of taking my lazy ass to the Nissan dealer. and yes. like I said before on the JYR fee:
Its ------ hot, I gotta do LOTS of leg work to get a container, breaking the car down, renting a truck to go take everything to Naha port, buying decent straps to strap that ------ in...yeah. $3000 is my price.

I will send myself a EF SiR front end before you get one.

Same price as they go for in the states. I have seen them a little cheaper as well. THere have been some on HT for pretty cheap in mint condition as im sorta looking for one also.
