hopefully nothing happens, unless they save bin laden for the 11th :)

Re:Seems like every ones' forgotten

just because everyone isn't on 9-11's jock doesn't mean we forgot or we don't give a ----. people die everyday, that day a bunch of people died because some assholes didn't like our country, it's some bullshit.

I swear one of these 9/11s I'm going to rep a "I (picture of a plane instead of a heart) NY" shirts. I hate how people draw ---- like that out, on tv saying the people who died were heroes. if I'm walking across the street and I get hit by a car and die I'm no more a hero than anyone else.

Kyle, they were talking about the firemen. ::) I saw a documentary on 9/11 today. It just pisses me off and shocks me at the same time all over again. :-\

And also.. the families of the "hero" get millions of ------- bucks.. Just because some terrorist assholes decided to drive a plane into the towers. So, if instead of being in the towers, I got shot in the street and died, my family doesnt get any money because I died a different death? Bullshit.

not on the tv I was watching. they were showing people jumping out of the buildings and saying they were heros, some guy in the bigger town to the south jumped off the highway overpass, fell about 10 stories, got hit by 7 cars and they called him crazy, I guess he's crazy because the overpass he jumped off of wasn't on fire?

and the firemen knew the job when they signed up, it's not like the application said "you'll be in charge of handing out stickers to kids" they knew it was dangerous. If I cut myself at work they don't call me a hero, they call me a dumbass.

in my line of work I can kill some people, how about if I cross contaminate some ---- and serve it up, you're ass could die from that ----. and that's not my point, my point was you knew the job when you signed up, they chose to give their lives. call them heroes when they sign up, not when they die.

don't take this ---- too far. standing up for people who are getting mistreated is one thing, but just talking ---- is another. your post would have been fine up until the caddy part.

This thread is fucked up....

How many people turned away and did not want to help?

bambooseven 09-11-2004 04:24 PM

Re:Seems like every ones' forgotten

had I been there, I would have helped in a heartbeat, that is just common decency. but am I crying about it months/years later, ---- no. 911 is over, it happened a long time ago. and it is in essence like a 2nd grader throwing a rock at the big 6th grade bully.

if any of u are from ny then it would be diff. ive been in the towers many times. and some of my family worked in the twin towers a few months before 9/11

if u were from ny ud understand.

MikeJ-2009 09-12-2004 04:08 AM

Re:Seems like every ones' forgotten

I'm one of those people that also tries to look to the future for betterness, but if you want to bash the past and people that died an untimely death, your just a fucken -------, or your trying to impress us with your "toughguyness". Either way, I'm not impressed. You don't have to live in new york to realize the seriousness of what happened. You just have to admit that your human and you can try to understand the events that happened.

I was in down town NYC last night in the east village at a rooftop party. I thought I'd share...I took a pic of the twin tower lights with my camera phone:

if that bitch was here crying about it 3 years ago when it happened it would be different. when I made that thread I was in the middle of the ----, it wasn't 3 years after the fact that I'm getting pissed at people who say to move on.

i have to agree with kyle on this one. It sucked that it happened but why dwell on it, time moves on and things get better

Re:Seems like every ones' forgotten

Nobody is saying to dwell on it, and I would expect that nobody is crying about it, but there's no need to go out of your way to be insensative about something that indirectly (or directly for some) effected us all. That's all I'm saying. :-\
