my point was that he doesn't know what he's talking about on certain issues, like he just said the reason the judiciary committee is being so hard on Attorney General Gonzales is because smuckey (whoever the hell that is, charles schumer maybe?) hates him because he is mexican, and that Gonzoles is a really decent guy full of integrity.
Any person in their right ------- mind that actually watched the hearing last week will tell you that not only did gonzoles refuse to answer almost all the questions, he had no idea what was going on in his department, he is incompetent as hell and the department of justice is in the worst shape in us history, but no according to levin they are out to get him because he is mexican.

but theres also about 30 different other topics that were covered in the hearing, mainly like why he went to john ashcrofts hospital room and tried to get him to sign authorization for the illegal wiretapping program when he had delegated his authority to someone else ( who testified to this fact and declined to sign the authorization) and so on. this whole thing would be over in a day if he just answered the questions, its really blown up because he keeps changing his answers or strait refusing to answer questions.
bill clinton appointed new us attorneys at the beggining of his term which is the tradition, in the gonzales case someone replaced 8 of them for not conducting investigations ( which may effect the outcome of an election, its against the us attorney general regulations to do this, so they were following procedure), since gonzales is in charge he is supposed to be aware of and sign off on any persons resignation, the purpose of the hearing is to find out whether or not he is capable of doing the job of attorney general, so far he claims to not know anything that has been going on in his department for the last several years, what does the clinton administration have to do with anything?
