what happened when the US was neutral in the first part of WWII... europe was in germany's control and millions and millions of people had been killed

all throughout the 90s clinton refused to deal with iran, syria, hamas, al qaeda, etc... now we have much broader war against terrorism

Please do not trash this thread with your normal antics. Arabs were pissed over the complete raw deal they were getting over their oil, their society, the failure of ba'thism. Our removing of their elected, or charismatic leaders. Our support of Zionism and constant siding with the state if Israel over every matter at hand. IMF sanctions, devaluation of currency, putting people like Saddam Hussein and the Sha in power to support western interests.

In all honestly, most arabs were all for a secular state after WWII and WWI, most countries were very accepting of western influences and thought that by allowing western countries to help with their governments or adopting western social norms would help them grow as a society. See Article 22 of the league of nations which highlights this, and documentation of people like Said Bey, who lived a very secular lifestyle in the ottoman empire.

What riled up the religious right and brought about the fall of ba'thism is more or less the decline of Arab society after the west took control of their governments by proxy. Everything they were promised they didn't see. Education didn't rise, society became more unstable, their currency was devalued, what was once a broad middle class declined into poverty.

I could further go over this and the points of WWI and WWII later on, but for now I have to go to work.

And Islam by nature and since its inception is a violent religion. If you want to dispute that I have hundreds of years as evidence. Christianity does too don't get me wrong, but it doesn't explicitly say in the bible to convert by force.

Ron Paul brought up a valid point, about non intervention. Compared us to the roman empire. I forget how many countries we're occupied in, I think it was over 100... but why do we have people stationed in germany? japan? it makes no sense. Theres no point in them being there, and I bet most of the time we aren't wanted there. Read what ron paul stands for and tell me whats wrong with him. Yeah, getting us out of this war (whether it was meaningless or not in the beginning is not the case, it is meaningless for us to be in IRAQ right now) is a good idea. Pulling completely out of the middle east? Maybe not so great but I'm not in a position to do so, nor do I care to be in one ever. Getting rid of the income tax. Getting rid of help for illegal immigrants. Building trust with foreign nations. Trying to cut inflation. Yeah, sounds like a real sack of ---- to me. :1

I don't see how someone could believe a bunch of poor (yes I know some rich) people coming over here to start ---- because of "our democracy." It sounded like a joke the first time I've heard it and still does.

People get pissed when something affects them. Our freedom doesn't have an effect on them, but the way we handle ---- there does.

I feel like blowing up Amsterdam, because they have more freedoms...

I thought I'd let yous guys know he's surpassed guiliani (sp?) and romney in contributions, he now has over 10 mil. Everyone who supports The Paul, set aside money for the 16th. Instead of buying lottery tickets, gamble with this candidate. Your odds are better.

On a side note. I wish I could campaign and get 10 mil to buy a nice exotic vehicle to uh...campaign with.
