Default Roadtrip from NYC to San Fran *UPDATED WITH NEW PICS in the first post*

UPDATE:
I posted the pics at the bottom of this reply....

Here's the story:
I am going on a road trip this Friday 7/23 leaving from NYC at approximately 8pm and hopefully arriving in St. Louis ~14 hours later. After St. Louis I am not exactly sure where we're going next. By "we're" I mean an ex-girlfriend of mine. We're just friends now.

Here's a brief list of places I'd like to visit in the two weeks, 7/23-8/6, I planned for this road trip(in no particular order):
1. The St. Louis Arch
2. Vegas
3. Golden Gate Bridge
4. Grand Canyon
5. Hoover Dam
6. Lake Mead(sp?)
7. Petrified Forest
8. Swim in the Pacific Ocean
9. Yellowstone

I have done this trip before when I was 15 with the family. We lived out of a ---- *** chevy celebrity station wagon for three weeks with a front bench seat. Keep in mind my dad is 6' and I was about 6' in the back seat. Needless to say I was biting my knees in the back seat for three weeks.

What other attractions/places should I hit up on this trip?

FYI...Although I think it could make it to Cali with bells on, I won't be taking the turbo CRX. :P Instead I will be taking my 2000 altima SE, 5psd, with 50k, bone stock. It's just there's one problem with it. I have been getting a bad vibration from the front end, including the steering wheel, from 75mph up till 100mph. I have all tires balanced twice, put on two brand new tires on the front end, all rims have been checked and are NOT bent, I checked all the front end bushings, tie rod ends, joints etc and all looked kosher.
Anyone have an idea of what else could be causing the vibration?

TIA

UPDATE:
Well I only took 418 pics :P on the Canon Elph SD110 digicam I bought with a 512 card a week before we left. I must say teh camera is pretty damn good. I wanted something small and this offered the most for the price. Most of the picst are of ----, but here are some of them. The girl i went with took about 12 rolls of film also, but it has not been developed yet. I'll try to give a brief description of the photos. AND NO I DID NOT DO anything with her....NO nookie, NADA, NOTHING... I have my eyes set on other things. Oh and BTW, she's crazy.

Well we left on Friday July 23rd(?) at 9 pm and our first destination was St.Louis. I drove for a while and I think I had her take over at around 4am. She drove for a few hours while I rested and then at around 9 am I got back behind the wheel. At around 1pm on sat we came up on St.Louis. We hung out here for a bit, the line to the top of the arch was about 903487250852904 feet long so we said ---- it and left.

We left St.Louis, and trekked on to Oklahoma City where we slept the night. We woke up the next morning and headed up in Santa Fe NM. We camped at an awesome campground outisde Santa Fe called Ranchero:

Next morning we woke up and headed off to 4 corners. This place is out in the middle of no where.
For all of you who have never been there, it's nothign special and here's what you'll see:

We left there and moved on. I think we camped in Tuba City, AR next? Sorry if anyone lives there, but this place is a ---- hole. The campground we stayed at was part of a hotel. This was the worst campground i've ever been at. Our site was covered in dog ---- and all throughout the night i kept on hearing drops on the roof of the tent. I just thought it was berries faling from the tree or something. Well apparently ever bird within a 9087390847123 miles radius had diarrehea and decided to hang out on the tree on top of our tent. Our tent's roof was no longer blue, instead it is now white and purple.

Woke up next morning and headed off. Next stop was the grand canyon or to some of you "a big hole in the ground".
The Vanna White pose:

Another shot:

Next on the agenda was the Hoover Dam. It was freaking hot here:

Now we're off to Vegas. Ahhh....i love vegas. We went out to eat then played some slots where I won $55 on the nickel slots :P

We walked around the strip a bit then she was getting tired so she headed up to the room at 1am. I decided it was way too early to sleep, also considering I love to party i headed back downstairs and apparently at the Riveria they were hosting some soft darts tournament. I met some people from Everett Washington and next thing I know i was playing darts with them. The one guy's name was Jack Comyn, and he owned a bar called "Sporty's" on 6503 Evergreen Way in Everett. There was some chick who invited me back to her room at Ceasar's who was also from Everett, but all of her friends tagged along which I thought was weird. Next thing I know they tell me she's married.

Anyway I had some drinks(completely wasted) and next thing I know it's 8am and i can't find my freaking room. I finally made it to bed and gotten woken up at 11am by the cleaning maids. Needless to say I was still drunk and could not drive:

Francesca drove my car through the desert where i made it for a while before i decided it was a good idea to 'toss my cookies' so she pulled over and i let the demons out:

Next was Yosemite. Here is one of my favorite pics:

Now off to San Fran and a gander at the cable car museum:

One thing I wanted to do was to go in the Pacific Ocean and here you go(I can die a happy man):

From San Fran we headed off to Yellowstone. Along the way I remembered I had an aunt somewhere in Idaho. I called her up and did lunch with her in Idaho Falls...she paid
Then there's Yellowstone. Just freaking awesome;

Big *** elk just chillin':

We hit up Chi-town on the way back and saw the Sears Tower. Here is a pic from afar:

I hit a little traffic goign to St.Louis, leaving San Fran and of course when I am coming home to NY i hit traffic at 2am on a Monday night on the Cross Island. Shitty pic but you get the idea:

All in all, it was great. We did about 7500 miles in 10 days, took a ---- load of pics. Next time I do this trip, and yes there will be a next time I will be staying certain places for longer periods of time like yellowstone and vegas. Another thing, I will either bring a "girlfriend" or a guy friend BUT not a girl who is a friend.

The car held up like a champ. The whole trip i don't think i did under 85 mph. I got pulled over one time in Oklahoma and got a written warning for having my fog lights when it was only overcast, YET two minutes earlier I went through a hail storm, Whatever...

My advice is to do this trip if you can I think i drove all but about 10 hours the entire trip. :P But I am the type of person who enjoys driving as do many others here.

Well that's it, i've already gotten back to the daily grind of my 8-430 job and I am so swamped I am not going to be able to catch up till late next week. I got a promotion too bitches!

here are two more pics of her:

haha, as the official hmt road tripper all I have to say is good luck with that. that's probably more miles than my last 2 trips combined. make sure you have plenty to drink, a cooler would be great, I just drank hot water the whole time. eat sun flower seeds, they keep you awake, your tongue will hurt when you're done, but you won't fall asleep and fly off the road. get the chick to give you some road head if you run out of sun flower seeds.

I just got back from a 3000 mile road trip, and I'll tell ya one thing, there is no place like home =) I dont see how people can even live in Arizona/Nevada.

Good luck on your trip, and use NoDoze if need be, I took one about 4 hours ago and I'm wide awake.

Jeff

NYC to St. Louis in 14 hrs! I dont think that would be very easy. If you are going on a sight-seeing trip, I would take your time. Dont really rush anything. it isnt worth it if you were to get into a wreck. (do I sound like your mom) take lots of pictures, and post them on HMT. have fun!
get lots of road head! I wanna see pictures of your EX!
