reverse mini me swap
i used a d16z6 block with a d16a6 head for my crx, im turboing my car and i was thinking that a vtec head on a nonvtec block raises your compression ratio, sooooo......... does a non vtec heac on a vtec block lower your ratio? which is obviously better for turboing.

Re: reverse mini me swap
yes, anytime the head going on has a larger cumbustion chamber cc compression will go down. lower compression better for boost is a myth. SAFER for boost, not better. ???

Looks like with D16a6 block, z6 head, a6 head gasket your going to be about 8.4:1
z6 head gasket would be 8.6:1 http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php |
Re: reverse mini me swap
but he'd be using a non VTEC head on a VTEC block :)
