Busa with 275 hp?

underpowered quite a bit!

Nice swingarm though.

it should have taken that viper.... even if that viper was putting down 1100hp we run 7's on motors with 275hp.

thats BULLSHIT!!! if the bike was really into it he would have ------- spun the tires when he floored it GTFO...
the guy had one ------- hand on the bike when they were getting ready to race and after the start he wasnt even fully sitting in position.. and from listening to the guy talk id say he's a fag. and this is a rigged race..

w3rd, that was gay. that bike would kill anything. what the hell, "getting to race speed" thats even more gay

That was retarted... that bike didn't even look like he was trying. Who races with 1 hand on the handle bar? I bet his other hand was too busy ------- his own ass.

haha here come the ricers.

watch the video again, when they start, his hand twists the throttle all the way back

he did say 275, thats about double stock isnt it?

Do you think that viper runs 7's? Busa's dont get real fast until there top end either. All street bikes kinda lack on there 8th mile and make up for it afterwords, drag bikes are the opposite.

Look at his left arm. Yes, his right hand did get on the throttle, but just looking at him when the "race" starts, he just looks totally unprepared.

busa would have pulled the front end as soon as he went wot and the turbo spooled. a stock busa would pull the front end at 80 at wot. This video is staged.

that would be with a stock swing arm, this guy has an extended one just to combat the bike lifting.

thats a 6 inch extention tops, it still would pull. Unless he was huddled over the bars, roasting the rear tire. my friends shitty kz motor on a drag bike car tire chassis still pulls, and its only a 10 second bike. Plus its way longer, and lower than that busa.

http://myspace-728.vo.llnwd.net/0011...15827728_l.jpg

theres the bike and the honduh 200 3 wheel action tow bike, in the background.

http://myspace-189.vo.llnwd.net/0074...47463189_l.jpg

same bike, no fairing, new paint job. thats still a bike tire chassis.

*announcer voice*

annddddd heeerrreeeee come the riiiccerrrrssssssss

the hayabusa is comparable to a brick at high speeds, it obviously have a very extended rear end, starting at 80mph.

obviously the fastest way to accelerate is to keep the front tire down, maybe he had to ease into it to keep the tire down, maybe he mashed it and it didnt raise it up) either way the viper smoked his ass.

if the busa has too much power to keep the tire on the ground and cant give it full throttle till 175mph. it still lost!

ricers are gross

btw, i heard the viper has 1300hp at the wheels, about the same torque i assume.

the c5 427tt lingenfelter vette ran 8.75 with only 1000hp.

the diffrence between 8's and 7's in cars is huge. Go to garyjavo.com and look at the yellow half carbon fiber viper that holds the "street record" at 7.99. they claim it to be 1700hp

It's pretty obvious that its his damn bike too.

hahhahahaha, feathering yes. full launch that bike would do a backflip and land on your face that bike ran an 8.51 with no bar. 7 second car tire bike easy. go look on gary javos website and see the 1700hp viper they couldn't get to hit those times.

Yeah, a video made by a guy who owns a viper shop, and both vehicles racing. Would never stage anything like that to create internet hype, in order to get business. never! Thats completely unthinkable.

he doesnt own a viper shop. that viper was built by heffner performance, some other guy owns the car i think.

Either way, someone can have an agenda to make a race unfair. Who's to say that the shop owner (him or whoever) isn't paying him to shoot this video and lose to the viper. It just seems like a bunch of horseshit to me.

i know right because hayabusas are the fastest things every made and turbo them is like comparable to a delorean

Re: Repost x150004

Not that hard to beleive I guess, when your doing roll ons at 80 to 180mph you really cant compare 1/4 mile times and ---- like that.

Think about this way, there are some 350whp civics that can pull 600cc street bikes on the freeway that are usually putting down 100-110whp.

If that busa actually had a built bottom end, and was making 100 more whp it would eat that viper alive.

jinxy 07-11-2006 03:23 PM

Re: Repost x150004

I still think the videos staged. even if that vipers making 1300hp at the wheels, the power to weight ratio is way off. The busa making 55% of its weight, including rider up with power. The viper making 36% of its weight up with power, including driver an passenger. It would seem like the gearing would be in the busas favor also, for a high speed run.

Hey, at least with the delorean all you have to do is get it up to 88 MPH and you can just time travel your way to fix races.

i wonder how much a hayabusa with an extended swingarm, all the other ----, and turbo kit weighs. probably almost 550+lbs.

2.2hp per lbs

viper gts with turbokit probably about 3400lbs

2.61hp per lbs

not to mention better aerodynamics tracttion, etc...

jinxy 07-11-2006 03:41 PM

Re: Repost x150004

viper weighs 3400 stock, 2 passengers, stereo, and turbo kit. Im sure its sitting around 3700 easy. busas probably at 620.

HondaTuner 07-11-2006 03:50 PM

Re: Repost x150004

Wrongo... 1996 viper gts is 3375 lbs. :P

jinxy 07-11-2006 03:52 PM

Re: Repost x150004

ooooooooooooo 25 lbs. I couldn't find an exact real number. but it was close enough to be 3400. wiki says 3400

I just noticed you have your ratios backwards. Its pounds per horsepower. The higher number being less power per pound. If it was 3400 pounds and had 2.61 hp per pound. It would be 8874hp, lol

oops :P

viper
.38hp/lb

busa
.41hp/lb

im wondering who would win in a 1/4 race, im sure the busa would benifit from some wheelie bars and a fat slick

wiki = ----

jinxy 07-11-2006 04:14 PM

Re: Repost x150004

the busa would probably run about an 8.40 with a badass rider. thats the lowest ive ever seen anyone crack off on a turbo busa without a bar or a slick. Some fat nignog has a 350hp busa and he was running 11.50's. Then he tried to prespool off the line, fliped the bike and broke his collar bone. The bike was tottaly polished and had some hood paintjob on it. It was tottaly destroyed, lol. In the quarter mile, both having drag radials, it would be all up to the drivers. On a car tire chassis with a slick. the busa engine would run 7.80's probably. Thats kinda like talking about throwing the viper engine in a dragster though.
