red 5.0 turbo vs DSM

red 5.0 turbo vs DSM
New to the site, and I was driving on I5 north I think around lynnwood area, and I ran into a 5.0.
I pass him slowly thinking nothing of it, me and my buddie were going back out here to monroe. I thought eh its a young driver, 5.0 he prolly thinks hes the ----...
so I slow down thinking of passed experiences with mustang owners cocky, and ********.
I spooled to about 5psi and let off to let him know...and next thing I know this 5.0 dirty as ----, bone *** stock looking, spools up and blows off. I'm like wtf?!?! I give the guy thumbs up for turboing his car. I have lots of respect for forced induction cars, and I downshift to third, and he lays into it and pulls on me. BTW I was only running 11psi because I cant ------- figure out where a leak is, or why It wont boost over 11, with a evo 3 16g ported and FMIC 660s yada yada yada, so I woulda been right with him at my goal of 22psi once I find my leak. I get back up next to him and he gives me a thumbs down. Pissed me off, but I let it go, and once again gave him a thumbs up and off I went. as he cruise by in rush hour traffic I was like sick car bro, and saw homemadeturbo.com on his window and wanted to know wtf setup he was running, well here I am and I'm hoping the 5.0 owner will respond, and hook it up with contact info to chat a bit.
Long enough post, just though Id introduce myself and let you guys know the work you have done to some of these cars I highly respect.

This IS my first car, and I'm doing what I can for my first car, so I'm not claiming to run 11s.

he didnt say he was AWD, there are FWD turbo models
and to the poster, if your on stock internals i wouldnt suggest 22psi.. go with 18, you'll be happy enough, i ran 21 in mine but that was because i didnt care if it blew or not.. surpriseingly it survived me beating on it every day for 4 months, then a new owner for almost a year before it blew
but you do seem to be somewhat ontop of fuel management at least so yours may fair better then mine did, i had no fuel mods
