1. johnny went out to autocross his pile of ---- rustang once and got owned and then some old man told him he was worthless at driving or 2, he has never been to an event. also, i have seen some older cars do pretty well at an autocross event.
someone said something about a firebird with leave springs....I saw a datsun 510 with a rotary at the tire rack in south bend run pretty dam good accually....with leaf springs and drum brakes. some driver skill...thats what it took.
You dont have to be fast to win a braket race either. Prime example, There was a guy in a Dodge pickup that ran a high 16 every pass in jacksonville....but because he could nail his reaction time every time, he could whip everyones *** in a bracket race. his truck was auto, so the only thing he had to do was watch the light and keep his steering wheel straight. now thats come competition right there.
something else i wanna ask all of you stupid *****. how many of you accually compete with your cars. I can really only think of one maybe 2 on this board that accually compete with there cars on the 1/4 mile. 99% of you, including johnny go to the track just to see what that 1/4 mile time is so you can come back onto this board to brag about it. you for sure get my thumbs up!
and rawr, scca.org, all of the sanctions are on the website.

I really dont care to change your opinion. You all talked ---- and there was 250 bucks on the table to race me. I openly said SCCA which, I guess you all had no idea what it was, and the offer was still taken up on. You all have obviously pussied out. And if autcrossing is so easy why not come down and race me? It would be a quick 250 bucks and all you have to do is 20mph between cones (If you really think 20mph that just shows you have no idea what the ---- autocrossing is. but that is another topic). No one said im the best autocrosser because im not, but Im pretty sure that none of you all have done it and I could probally ----- any of you by multiple seconds.
Also implying is a pretty big word. People can take the way people say things in many ways. You can read it one way and another person can another way. There is no where in this thread did I say "Drag racers have no skill". If I did please quote me and show me where I have said that statment is true. That being said it does not really matter how you understood the statment to be. FACT is that I never said it take no skill. I just said it takes less skill than a autocrosser/road racer.

And I can see why you like Road racing. You like drag racing that basically has a handicap for people with highhorsepower cars. If you have a fast car then you will be fast on a open track (There are exceptions but in general). Autocrossing is not about the car, it is about the driver (Yet another reason why none of you know anything about autocrossing). Road racing is like the drag racing of the corner world. I lover road racing but I dont think it takes as much skill as autocrossing still. Although it is alot closer than drag racing is.

So are you saying that it takes more skill to drive a car down a straight line than it does to do turns? Please humor me in your theory behind this.

I motioned the lock because this thread takes me back to when the internet first came out and everyone was a pro this or that. There's really nothing to accomplish here except bumping up the self concept of yourself by challenging people on the internet to a driving contest. It's already been established that you don't need to have a fast car to autocross, so all that's really being argued here is if you can outdrive anyone on this forum. Making that challenge shows me more than if I actually saw you drive, which I still can't seem to care about.
