In ashEVILLe there were a lot of kids who dropped out of school and lived on the streets "'cause it's cool, dude" ten years ago (up the the present). Most are still on the streets. SO COOL.

Any liberal bastion of communism on the hippy roster like Portland/ashEVILle will field so many soup kitchens and shelters that every homeless person gets three squares, a cot, and medical care so that their only worries are condensed to scamming enough money to buy some malt liquor and peeing in public places. It's not morally correct to judge people or express expectations, so you let them do what they want and take care of them. ::)
