I'm assuming you got the car towed home. Anyways I've missed 4th and went into 2nd before but I stomped the clutch back in before it was disengaged all the way. My linkage is really sloppy though.

And wtf tranny do you have shifting into 5th at 90. What is your redline at? My Y1 transmission on my B16 gets out of 4th at 110.

well i wihs you luck on buuilding your new motor man just dont bore it like i did just hone and put some std size vitaras on eagele or TT rods replace the oil water pumps nad new gasket and bearings and your rollin! oh and get the ex tranny to go along wiht it too cuz the dx gears are jsut gay! i think honda made them so long so the non vtec cars will be so much slower than the vtecs.. to sell ther mystic VTAK ! lol

thanks,I was going to use my stock tranny but if it will make a good difference then i will swap it. For now i need to find my engine; The only place i know around here is a jap engine dealer and i can get one from him for $700 but i was hoping to find one in the junk yard so i could save some cash but i have only seen 2 at the JY in all the times i been there so thats pretty doubtful.

Ok well the timing belt either broke or fell off and probably has many bent valves which means its pretty much done since d15's are only worth like $100.

I did the same thing one time, i was cruzin at about 85 on the highway, wanted to go to fourth before I took an exit ramp, while i was eating some food. Put it in what I thought was fourth and rpm matched accordingly, let out the clutch, and as soon as i did the tac jumped to about 9500. needless to say it was a jolt i wasn't expecting so i pushed the clutch back in as soon as i could. my 94 si never said anything else about it, just over reved the ---- outta it once by accidently going from 5th to 2nd. i was pretty suprized that nothing flew apart, since i have somewehre near 175k on it when it happened.

and btw, have fun finding a turbo/crank/clutch/(maybe an lsd) to get 350 outta a z6. not saying it can't be done, but its not going to be easy or cheap.

drunkinmaster1 is the owner of a 400+hp D series, its a stock y8 block with a z6 head, vitaras and eagle rods, 60/63... that's both easy AND cheap(ish)
