hahha, can't beleive I'm making a post on this, but I figure I'd ask somebody would know, and ---- this is my website I can do whatever I want! HA

ok, I wanna make some tunafish sandwichs, and so when I was at the store there was like 50 different kinds of tunafish, I went with "Starkist Chunk Lite" (in water) 12oz can (the medium one) I need to know how much mayo I mix in with this.

I'm a cook and I never follow any recipies. Just put mayo in until it looks like it's got enough and doesn't have too much. make sure to mash up the tuna and add in some chopped pickles and boiled eggs. search hot or cold on toasted bread.

Mix it up until its nicely coated but not swimming in it. If it looks like Boosts' old avatar, you put on too much.

You should have got the "In oil" kind. :-X

Take a spoon and get yourslef enouhg mayo to kill a horse and clog alot or ---- up. Mix it up until it turns into a nasty ass "vaginal discharge" then slap it on a piece of bread and eat it. ;D

But there is no "specific" amount I'm suppose to put in with 12oz? like I dont want to put in to much, or not enough, I'm very senstive to mayo for some reason, haha

I usually get the same kind (chunk light in water) and just drain it and then add sweet pickles and enough mayonase untill its a mushy substance.

Add it little by little and taste it.I hate mayo but i just use enough to get some flavor.

----, I just pile that ---- on. Add like 4 or 5 spoon fulls so it completely consumes the tuna. Mix it up and it should be about 90% mayo. Mmmmmmm......

You probably want something a little less dangerous. I say mix it in a little at a time and see what happens. :-\

like I said, just mix it until it looks good, this isn't the martha stuart tuna hour. I just mix as much of whatever I want into what I make and nobody complains.

lol, yeah a female would be of more help in this situation. Bigwig could have told you how to do it, how much to add, when to eat it, but he would have skipped the part where you use a can opener to get the tuna open because that is too hard. :P

It's funny how the mayo was new, the tuna was new, and the spoon was probably new. Looks like Jeff gave up fast food finally. :P

Sigh....am I the only female on this board that offered to help you with your sandwich dilemma, Jeff?? Here ya go:

•1 (3 ounce) can tuna, packed in water, drained
•2 tablespoons mayonnaise (vary to your taste - also good with Miracle Whip as opposed to Mayo)
•Pita or pocket bread, whole wheat bread, white bread. In my opinion, toasted is the only way to go. Untoasted bread gets very soggy with tuna salad.

Variations/additions
•1 tablespoon chopped sweet or dill pickle
•2 tablespoons chopped celery
•1 chopped hard cooked egg plus 1 tablespoon more mayonnaise
•2 tablespoons chopped, peeled apple (yes, this is DELICIOUS!)
•1 tablespoon chopped pecans (mixed with the apple is excellent)
•1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
•1 tablespoon white raisins w/ 1/4-1/2 tsp. tarragon (works even better with chicken salad)

Now go forth and build sandwiches!!

I won't be TOO judgmental and say absolutely NO to cream cheese, but I honestly don't think the two flavors would go very well together.

Trust the poster above who suggests Miracle Whip. At least give it a try. I realize some people are mayo and some are MW (I hear a bad Donnie and Marie song in my head right now....)

What I have tried with tuna...

Mustard = Good
Relish = Good
Mustard/Relish = Good
Cottage Cheese = Good
Eggs = Bad
Rice/Corn = Good
Mayo = Good

I ate a lot of tuna when I was working out and I usually just ate it straight out of the can. When making tuna you can pretty much mix it with anything you want. If it's a little dry mix something in it. Just make sure you mix a little in first... This way if it tastes like ass you haven't ruined a whle can of tuna.

I have a lot of things written in my cookbook for tuna variations, but I wanted to make sure I made a note to check for the "ass flavor" content when adding ingredients. ;D ;D
