Default Question: How much to pay for LS engine?

I can get one locally for $550 with about 160k miles, or another for about $700 with about 50k miles--but he says it's been sitting for 7 years (inside, protected though). Are these prices too high? keep in mind this included intake manifold, throttle body, ditributor, etc.

i found one here(NC) with about 80K miles on it, complete for $500. try www.car-part.com and go from there with it. although, the parts you might find may not be local. still an average of what you should pay.

I got mine for $80, but it had no head or tranny or pistons or rods, but everything else was there that wasn't attached to the missing head.
