I was told it's a 1971 240z, all original, original rims in the trunk, interior is decent, carpet is gone, seats are ripped, but not too bad, No rust, Florida car, some rust bubble spots around the quarter panel wheel well, but nothing going thru. Decent paint, more than likely repainted, no body work done before.
The guys is asking $3,000, runs fine too.

Problem is that smart questions like that would be nice to ask when looking at a car, wouldn't they? :1 I don't know, but the guy just did a quick rebuild, new gaskets, seals, and such....

Hmm.. I'd go check it out and see how flexible he is on the price as well. And take it for a drive. If you don't fall in love with it, don't get it.

Yeah well I'm big and tall, so it's a little cramped in there anyways, but it sure looks nice. I can get the price down. He is asking $3000, but my bro-in-law knows him and he confessed already he would let it go for even $2000, So I could go down and offer that.

But I agree on the test drive. I'll probably do it soon see what happens.

They have smaller interiors so if your a bigger person take it for a test drive for a bit. I'm only 5'6" and my old hatch feel alot bigger. I tossed a recaro seat I have into it and with my 6pt rollbar. Don't get in if your closterfobic(dig my spelling ) The paint looks pretty faded from the pics but body looks really clean. Check the battery tray, floor panels, and the panel thats ontop of the brakelights cause those are main things that corrode in Z's and are kind of a hassle to repair. Overall it looks pretty solid but that's just "looks" listen for rear clunking too. Thats quite common also. What got you interested in the S30? Just something you always wanted or something else? Though 3000 is kinda steep. I paid 1200 for mine and the body wasn't perfect but it had a rebuilt engine with header and a cam and nice stereo. I'd say around 2g's.

Yeah I'm 6'2", I had to really go down to get my head in the car, once in it wasn't too bad. I would need to put a seat further back a little anyways, and get a smaller steering wheel, that thing is huge, looks like a big rig steering wheel.

I just always like the looks of the car, all the Z's, and this one happened to appear all of a sudden. Paint is ok, a good clean/buff would help and it's a camera phone, unfortunately the owner wasn't there so i could not drive it, but the car was open and he told me I could check it out on the phone.

I saw a little of superficial rust on the backlight panel like you say, there's no carpet onit so I check the floor, everything is there and solid, it looks like it's been in florida all it's life, so no snow and salt ruined it.

My Bro-in-law is a car body guy, he checked and there's no bondo or repair, what you see it's 100% what it is. We saw a little bit of rust on the top of the rear light panel, a few bubles on the rear driver side wheel well, and a little bit on the driver side cowl to windshield panel, close to the glas but fixeable.

Any swaps available, or anything interesting to do with this thing?
I'm going to start for serious research on the car, If I can get it down to $2000 I think it's fair because of it's condition, then work on it.

I'm wanting do to an old car, either a 70's z car, or a late 60's 70's muscle car.....But a lot of people think they have gold with the muscle cars, even if they are complete crap or a cheap model with a v6. I can get the body work done for materials, and the mechanic work I do, so whatever it is would be nice.

I don't even know where to start with swaps. Hit up Hybridz.org. You people sticking anything and everything into Z's. Viper V10's, alot SBC's, RB25's, RB26Dett, SR20det's(one guy makes a adapter plate to use the stock Z tranny with a fwd sr20 block) Toyota V8's, Nissan V8's, and the F20C debate is always going on. Discussion about boxer engines but more likely too wide, seen acouple of rotarys and you should see the room leftover after those installed. I would like to see a 20b installed cause you sit in the engine bay with a 13b installed. Kits for SBC's are pretty cheap too if you decide to go that route. It all depends on your pocket book or fabrication skills.

it's a 240, not a 260 or 280. so value is a lil bit more imo. especially since it's all original. i guess it all depends on how she runs.

my 280 had 41k miles all original i paid 2700
