quad guys.. need some help **she's runnin =)**
 

ok so heres the deal. my sister just broke up with her fiance (he had givin her a quad) but to our dismay, he would not give us the key.. sooo we have a little problem here. is there anyway possible that i could get a key from a dealer? or do i need to hotwire this bitch? and if so, how? but the thing is, theres no papers with the quad, or bill of sale... so i wasnt sure if they would just hand over a key.

its a Yamaha Blaster and we think its a 2002-03, but not positive. its got a few goodies, FMF pipe and silencer, some bad-ass tires, and a few other little things.

so what you guys think? what year, can a key be had, or is it hotwire time?

you should be able to stick your honda key in and fire it up, or try other keys. sometimes those ignitions will pass with other keys. maybe whitey will know.

disassemble the ignition and twist the wires together.

then itll be just like any other dirtbike. fire it up when u kick it and kill it with the kill switch

Its pretty easy, just look at the wires and you'll see what you need to do. Most people eliminate using keys anways.

I had a blaster, its easy just get tot he back of the lock and disconnect the wires

well i'll try the key thing like Travis said first.. but i'm sure i'll end up just cutting the wires or what not..

what where you trying to say? because i could use the advise.

I guess what he's trying to say is... get the ignition lock out... take a good look at it, and connect it in the most logical way... kick it... see if that works...

shouldn't be so hard.
