Re: PSP?
Gt will be coming out for it.
As far as the discs are concerned, they are like mini discs, it's like a mini disc in a case, like how a floppy has a disc in the case.
The discs are called UMD (universal media disc I think). I have a feeling Sony is going to try and phase out the DVDs. Example they will make UMD players for your home system. Perhaps they are trying to optimize their profits by creating a media that wouldn't be easily bootlegged.
oh and jago, I blame the lack of success of the PSP on lack of advertisement as I stated above. PS2 was advertised months in advance prior to the release date, whereas the PSP had pretty much none. It'll take off.
and yeah games are for 10 year olds, now get back into your jumperoo before I call mommy on you
now go off and boingy boingy.
:P

Re: PSP?
How much are movies on this thing? I heard a rumor that these mini disc movies were like, $40 or something. It kinda sounds like a rip-off to me. Can you play them in a normal DVD player? Would they have the same extra features?
A buddy of mined picked one up and I played NFS Underground on it, as well as watched some Spider Man. He also had some pictures that he got off his computer as well. I was pretty damn impressed with the graphics and sound and wouldn't mind having one, but it still feels like a novelty item to me, especially at the price its at (probably because I'm seeing it as both an alternative portable dvd player and console).

Re: PSP?
I basically bought them for the sole purpose of trying to make a profit on them. At launch things didn't work out as planned, but I still have hopes for it, we'll see what happens in a couple weeks.
I'm also told you can upload movies onto the memory card and watch it on the PSP, so there is an alternative to buying the movie discs they have.
