it plays both old and new style PS2 games just fine.
i think the general concensus from ym searchign is adjust teh laser. does anyone know how to do this. i cant find a write-up/digram anywhere. |

I also do not recommend placing the PS2 on its side once you have fixed it. Although Sony says they recommend it in the owner manual, I have since seen internal Sony documents retracting the statement and attributing many malfunctions to storing and operating the unit on its side. Keep it flat at all times. i think that was what caused this. a few months ago i rearranged my entertainment center so i could put my bird cage in there and i put the console on its side. ------- Sony, most of my bigger $$ electronics are Sony and this is the only one i have had a problem with :-\ |
