Minus the cache's of chemical weapons.

If you recall in WW2 we provoked Germany by seizing merchant ships and firing on there war ships, prior to December 11. Also posessing the plans and materials was a violation.

Right, i read their declaration of war, they said we had been treating them as an enemy since 1939, etc. But how does that compare to Iraq? they were not trying to invade anyone or even threatening to, all they did was supposedly have WMD's (which we sold them anyways to fight Iran after they overthrew the Shaw that we helped put into power)

The only reason we haven't taken over Mexico or Canada is because they're useless.

I found this thread interesting as it pertains to soldiers...the only part left of that ------- war that is worth caring about...

This is copy and paste of a post i made on a different forum that pertained to an argument about soldiers and what is going through their heads.

I can assure you that the politics behind it are probably the LEAST thing on their minds....this doesn't completely apply or is it relevent to the topic in this thread other than just me trying to demonstrate what the average soldier is thinking that is still over there getting blown up

The Hero's are the ones that didn't make it home.
It doesn't matter what the "cause" is for.

contrary to popular belief a LARGE portion of soldiers fighting RIGHT NOW arn't saying to themselves "lets kill us some terrorist boys!" or is it some unanimously voted for cause that motivates soldiers to suck it up and drive on. let me tell you what is.

when all other motivation to drive on has been lost. when you've stopped believing in what your doing when your pulling that trigger...the one single solitary reason you drive on is the person to the left and the person to your right. even if they want to quit they won't because they won't let you down even if they would let themselves down. You as a soldier know this and so you in turn do the same. Even if you stop caring for yourself, you won't stop caring for your buddy.

when you press down the butterfly on that mama deuce (.50 cal) and see them all fall down, you sleep well at night knowing that you've overcome one more hurdle standing between yourself, and your goal which is to go the f*&ck home.

You say to call them hero's is just propaganda..... it's not the government that calls them hero's. It's the people in which they are fighting for.

For those that don't agree or those that choose to disrespect those that fight, to thats O.K. i love you anyways. Because it is the freedom in which you must have in order to openly express that opinion without fear of retaliation that those same soldiers lives have bought you for over 200 years.
