well, i started my install wednesday night and got my charge pipes from i.c. to intake mounted, also got the turbo/manifold mounted and the oil lines hooked up ;D last night all i had to do was hook up my injectors, run charge pipe from turbo to i.c. and figure out what i'm gonna do about a down pipe since my welder broke :P so last night, i figure out that there is no way to hook 450's up to obd2 clips :P i have some obd1 clips coming (thanks mike ;)). also, my turbo sits so low that i had a hard time running the charge pipes without putting them too low, so i had a 90° coupler (radiator hose), that i used from turbo to a straight section of pipe, and since my welder is broke, those charge pipes are infested with couplers and clamps :P so, everythings was hooked up and my boy had just left for a minute to go to our friends house (around the corner) to grab a beer. after he left, i finished up the charge pipes, retarded the timing (no fuel management :P) and took her for a spin, by the way, i just had a block off flange on the exhaust, so basically, no wastegate and no fuel management, but ---- it, my map sensor was my wastegate ;D she sounds sick spoolin up and the plastic bosch bov actually sounds really good, it has a nice flutter to it. they heard me coming down the road they said they could hear the turbo spoolin ;D i drove it very cautiously, but any time i would hit about 4 psi, the map sensor would see the boost and the car would go limp, but hey at least i got to drive it boosted ;D i'm taking it up to my man that does exhaust to have him rig up some better charge pipes and make my down pipe. the pics i have are from wednesday night, i was too tired/excited to take more pics last night, but i'll get some tonight of the rest ;D i'll get video of my drive to the exhaust shop too, but i have no where to host it *cough*hint, hint*cough* by the way, the smokes in the pics aren't mine, they're my boys, i don't smoke ;)

Is the turbo supposed to be tilted sideways like that? ??? Are they all like that? I noticed that in those other pictures you posted, but I thought it might have been the angle or something.

it's the manifold, i'm not sure if they did that for a reason or not, they say they're 'suppose' to clear a/c, i don't ------- think so, but maybe that's why it's tilted. ???

Good ---- Kevin, Im glad your finally done man, by the way i love the hmt style oil feed, reminds me of my first oil line set up, however your car is to pretty man, get an adapter and run it around the drivers side engine mount

yeah, it was too ------- short cause the turbo hangs so low, i'm gonna talk to steve to see what we can do about a longer line or some kind of extension. ;D

i don't know, i didn't hook it up, but i hooked up the power and the ground to it and put the volt meter on the 'v out' wire and i didn't get a reading??? so i just assumed it didn't work??? i may mess with it this evening, but my ecu should be here monday. also, there is NO WAY to fit dsm 450's on to obd2 clips, i mutilated a clip trying to make it fit, and it just wouldn't, so i have some obd1 clips coming also. tonight, i'm gonna drop it off at the exhaust shop and have him weld up my exhaust and charge pipes and get everything worked out and my bumper and stuff back on and have it sitting and ready for when the ecu gets here.

Looks awesome man...that charge pipe looks sexy...you forgot to grind of those welds though.
I'm busy working on my ZC head...doing a HMT P&P and valve grind ;D.
I'll be swapping in the ZC this weekend and boosted by next week hopefully.

yeah, those pipes look pretty good, but the other ones are all couplered up cause my welder broke :P i'm gonna get them welded up today at the exhaust shop when i get my exhaust ran. it's an 8 dollar (shipped) bosch bov, i actually like the sound of it ;D

dude its easy to get OBD 2 clips to work on DSM injectors. i do it allllll the time. and its easier and cleaner than splicing clips into your exsisting harness. :P

this is how you get them to fit. and ill see if i can find the howto i did a while back.

if you look at where the injector plugs into the harness there is a blue "guide" there. lake a small flat screwdriver and pop it off. then you will haveto take the middle pin off the DSM injector and shave teh corners off hte outside of the injector and your done, its a perfect, tight fit.

i tried that, i shaved the little clip on the inside of the dsm injector, shaved the corners a little and even mutilated my obd2 clip to almost nothing, and it still doesn't fit??? it's too late now since i tore the one clip up anyways, but yeah, i was thinking they would fit good if i just rounded the front corners, but, i don't know ???

i dont think he can use IAB's with a p28. i would just unplug the dam thing. iab's suck. from my own opinion car pulls harder without it. but it looks good projekteg. its about damn time. all those dam worthless posts about putting it together and its finally finished. although that diy sticker install was money. but yeah. congrats on finally finishing it. good luck with it. dont blow that bitch up.
