project: getting up to interstate speeds *NOW WITH VID*
this is my roomates car that he was using as his DD for about a month or so. he was getting pissed off at the ------- gutless dual point d15 not being able to barely get on the interstate. so we decided that we should do an mpfi swap+boost to get this thing off its ***.
we wanted it done in one weekend in time for a track day but we missed it by about 5 days when we couldnt find a distributor. the goal was just clean stock looking boost with retaining a/c p/s and full radiator and cruise control. car has no rust, power everything and every option available and we didnt wanna lose any of that.
the only pictures i have on me right now is from the build up without the intercooler piping or clamps and ---- on it but i will get the finished ones up tonight.
1991 civic lx was all stock and about 100k on the odo when he got it
parts list goes as follows:
d15b7
z6 intake manifold and TB
chipped p06
converted to OBD1
nissan t25 turbo
roomate made splog
stealthmode oil lines
dsm 450s
dsm sidemount modified to fit
brand new mitsubishi 3000gt BOV
custom made heat wrapped DP
on 7psi with a xeno basemap, getting on the rollers this weekend probly

Re: project: getting up to interstate speeds
hey, this is my car. ripper vids would be up already but i'm having some damn weird problems.
1- i can't go wot or else it feels like it boost/fuel cuts instantly....
2- out of no where it will just die and not start for like 5-10 min
3- it throws a code 22 WTF!!! this is non vtec why is there a vtec pressure code?
4- it runs very rich
so as soon as i can figure this ---- out i can get to the dyno.

If it's running way rich get into fuel tools and adjust the multiplyer down until it idles at about 15.00 afr's. the rest of the map should fall closely in line then just watch the boost portion with a wideband and make changes as needed.
