Project Car Magazine: Issue 01

Have you guys picked it up yet? it's their first premier issue and it seems pretty good.

i bet the mag will do pretty well in the future.

The whole magazine is about getting cheap cars and modify it...you know just like the real world with real people.

I'm sick of all these car magazines showcasing something i'll never get or catering to ppl who makes $80k/yr or more and drive 1000hp supras.

This issue they cover 3 cars: FWD, RWD, and AWD

1995 civic $2500
1991 240sx - $1800
1990 Eclipse gsx - $2900

-------------------------------

Re: Project Car Magazine: Issue 01

yea i just pick one up, they ok, nothin great. they mostly do all bolt on stuff. not that much facrication. hmt should release a mag, it would actually teach people ----, not just how to bolt on part that cost a fortune.

and you think my ghetto ride could make it into super street. hmmm

I'm sure $1800 is a normal price for a 240sx
$2500 for the civic
and $2900 for the gsx.

I picked it up a couple days ago. Good stuff in the way it's written. (Step by step) Bad stuff in that the steps are tward rice set-ups and bolt-on ---- that's modeled after the instuctions almost verbatum.

D-Sport had a pretty good write up about N2O

People thinking they'll be able to pick up a 2k dollar tunar car and make it something worth having will increase the demand for the 2k dollar tunar cars therefore increasing the price.

Re: Project Car Magazine: Issue 01

I used to write in for the school paper, and for the local newspaper, had some random stuff published in random magazines.

It would be my ultimate goal to write for an automotive magazine.

I just picked up this magazine yesterday night, I think I'm going to submit an article on my Homemade Supercharger setup on my Neon. After I get some dyno sheets anyway. 8)

it's almost ready. I'm waiting to get my intake manifold back from my wife's cousin, hopefully sometime this weekend, which will allow me to install the rest of the system.

So close!

If there was such a thing, it would need to be printed on Notebook paper and bound with staples and or string.

Yes, but how can you brag to your friends and make your dick grow 12 inches? I mean, whats better than saying... My car was FEATURED in a nationally published magazine, a whole article dedicated to just my ride. I'm thinking of the possibilities... chicks love fame. personally, i love chicks.

I'll write the column that flames newbs and ricers without prejudice. :1 There would have to be some poles with Hotrex has herps, updates on the latest battles, and of course we'd need a turbo bike section. :6

Anyone have a good link to the home site? I tried www.projectcarmagazine.com and it's some bs affiliate advertising site. I wrote to some guy who claims to be the editor of the mag, but he has not replied. I even checked out Super Street's parent company's home site (Primedia) and can;t find any reference to it there.

Guess I need to hit the newsstand.
