if the TB skipped would it take out only one cylinder's valves? The 1,2, and 4 have good compression and leak down.

i woundn't even worry about the motor, JB Weld will fix it... 0 compression? pshh thats just less resistance on the motor... makes more power that way... but what you do need is new wheels.... so that way you can sell me one of your stock centercaps lol >:D

Also sinner, you should be aware if you replace the motor, that longitudinal 1.8t's have a diff. length crank on a manual than auto. Make sure yours comes from a slushomatic. One of the techs here busted the ear off one ala 1/2" impact because of this.

well it seems it wasnt a valve leak, there is a hole in the piston.. Ahhh

Now I gotta figure out why the hell it went lean on a stock turbo with the factory EBC bypassed only running the wastegate boost.

Pics are on the way

Here are my options

A. replace short block
B. replace single piston and rering all pistons
C. replace single piston and rering one piston

I would like to do B and C with the block still in the car. I know I can do it with my previous cars, so I'm guess I can do it with an Audi..
