Default power steering

I was told today by the German safety inspectors that if my car go over 250 hp I will have to remove my power steering, because, if I hit a pebble while driving fast it will be easy to have a accident, have you ever heard that?

ive never heard of anything like that but it does make sense. you think about it...your power steering helps u turn better....well if ur at really high speeds thats when its gonna effect you the most....or when you pull off the line cause lots of torque steer from the power you will have...and thus it cause ur wheel to turn with torque steer and if you do hit a pot hole or a rock in the road or one of those metal plates that the fine state of missouri likes to cover there holes with....then yes its possible to prolly lose some controlability but if you learn to drive it with lots of power....then im sure u can be just fine

all the fast cars here are without ps, and my friends here just don't use it when do a swap, I was gonna remove mine when I hook my turbo up, because you also gain power without it installed, but I'm also trying to get into some road rally, or touring,so it would probably benifit me to keep it.

False logic really.. your power steering only really helps under zero motion.. i.e. parking or heavy load.. such as the tires wheels and axels in a truck or the like.. I dont however see any issue with power steering at high speed.. It doesnt make your wheels some how more suseptable to loss of control when encountering a small rock on the road..
