I hit a bat once. It swooped down and was one of those things where my buddy and I both ducked instinctively even though there is a windshield. He pulled up and it looked like he was going to make it until he hit my antenna. His little claws were still grabbed onto the antenna along with his arm/wing so I don't think he made it even though he managed to miss the rest of my car.

I was in the middle of the woods alone fresh water fishing along a small river in NH. I was about 10 minutes into the woods from my car. These were the types of woods that had tons of animals and scared the hell out of me, but it was good fishing so it was worth it. It was the end of summer/start of fall, best time for fishing in NH for freshwater. It became dusk and as it became dark enough where I couldnt entirely see off into the distance. Someone down the trial inbetween me and my car threw a massive rock into the water, I see the huge explosion in the water, then again but closer, I immediately bolted it straight and then cut out into an open field, NOT back down the trail. I drove back home.

A year later I was with my friend and the same thing happened. He is "tougher" than me, and he ran as soon as it happened, leaving all his fishing/food behind. I quickly grabbed his ---- and ran. Haven't been back to that fishing spot since.
