I don't see the Chinese acting any differently than any other country. The have X dollars in the bank so they spend 4x tomorrow. The idea of a country running without debt and stupid spending is an absurd notion. I also believe you are under estimating the cost of repairing what they've started. I'm of the opinion that China is going to make some money now. Dump it into their country to the point they are entering a serious amount of debt, then they are going to realize while going from an industrial nation to a post industrial nation their country is a pile of polluted ---- full of people who have brain tumors the size of fists and they will be in a troubled spot. Not to mention, they are still a communist nation. The chances of that money being spent fairly and not taken by high ranking officials is sooooo unlikely. I'd definitely assume 20% of whatever is coming into the gov't is going into officials pockets. So yes, China is making some money, but they have their work cut out for the next 50 years.

Actually according to an article in Foreign Affairs the average Chinese household saves 40% of their income, their government also would probably welcome the loss of several hundred million of its citizens because they are over populated as it is, you should know that they really don't give a ---- about farmers who will grow a third arm because they don't pay as much in taxes as the urban middle class.

Pay attention to studies of popular white attitudes to social programs in AmeriKKKa, sir. Their opinion of them goes down in direct proportion to the skin color of the recipient.

I understand your confusion being from Canadia and all. The truth is that all Americans should feel in the middle (left to right) and medium bottom (top to bottom). That means we want to keep our own money, give to charity if we want to, and not have the government dictate what we can and can't do.

This is called the jist of it.
