Yeah I got back from the court room a few hours ago and the guy was a real ***** even though I know he couldn't read my shirt.

Seeing as how this is my 2nd time back for the same thing thats probably why. I brought my temporary insurance card they gave me yesterday, and a signed / stamped paper that says I have had continuous coverage since February on my car.

He still said "well this paper doesn't prove that there haven't been any lapses in your insurance."

So I got another court date for March 10 and I'm not sure how I'm going to prove that I had insurance on that day if what I had wasn't good enough. Maybe I'll make my insurance agent come to court with me, haha. I'll probably just have them print me off a reciept for September / October though.

Butterknife - what kind of car do you drive? Do you post on CII?

No I mean here it is a actaual "crime" to not have proof of insurance. It's totally different. There is a ticket for no insurance and one for no proff.

As far as the insurance goes, just have them write you out a letter stating you have had non lapsing converage since Feb, and have them noterize it.

In Illinois there is only one ticket they will write you no proof of insurance regardless if you have it or not but if you do have it and show them they will drop it I've gotten plenty of no proof tickets and all have been thrown out with no problem
