the one in the fast and furious was 93+
expect to pay 14-20thousand for a stock one.
and then have 5grand in your back account at all times "just incase"

so yeah, if you want to get one cuz you saw the fast and furious, and think it'd be cool,

then by all means, go for it, cuz you'll loose hella cash, and then i'll laugh my ass off at you

rotaries can handle what? <~19 psi T04e 60-1 and getting higher! i need to re-program my microtech for 3 bar, it's set for 2 bar so i'm pretty much maxing it, my internal is stock, if i rebuild my engine it'll handle more boost but makes more horsepower at a lower psi because rebuild usually equals port job.

detenation happens because rotaries source of holding compression is an APEX SEAL that's it, so of course it can blow, 3mm are nice upgrades can handle more abuse but a good tuner can handle 2mm and make it hold as good as 3mm apex seals,

apex seals = piston rings for you non-rotary people.

the reason most people with rx-7 blow their ---- is because they don't know jack ---- about rotaries, mazda fuel pump is weak so is mazda's electical, fuel pump needs 12v while at boost but weak sauce alternator can't pump out enough volts while a/c,headsligths, music, etc is on so what happens? it blows from lean mixture, first upgrade should be cheap and free, REWIRE FUEL PUMP, then later on get a walbro 255 lph, that's what i got, still good for 11 sec!

stock turbo for rx-7s is big as t3/t4, put them together check it, u'll c.

15 psi is too much 12 psi is crazy, with stock intercooler, because stock intercooler is efficient only around 11-12 because it's in a heated area. bad spot.

to run 12 psi, u need a fuel controller and 720cc secondaries to keep it safe, since 1990 is the one ur after then you don't have to worry much about overboost because of 87-88 wasetgate are bootay and 89-91 are larger and safer and easier to control.

50k? rebuild? u must have read that ONLINE, never have any proof and if you have proof then show me, and ask them how much they know about rotaries, i bet not alot. my friend has a 180k turbo rotary, not a boost crazy person but that's a ---- load of miles for a turbo car don't u think?

with exhaust mods your turbo would be able to breath better so watch out! full exhaust can cause boost spikes with 87-88 turbos and sometimes on 89-91 turbos because it's too much free flowing, rotary heads usually port wastegate to control boost,

need more questions to be answerd?
