nice, what turbo do u plan on useing? my friend has a 240 with a silvia front, they look pretty good, his is ka turbo with safc hack and ----, t3, and ---- running 10psi daily, he made his own manifold from mcmaster piping, just a log, but it works good. he wants to run mega squirt soon. u should be fine with your setup, keep us posted with pics of it as u get ready to turbo and what not, i would tell u i could make a manifold for a 240, but i havent tryed one yet llol, mostly hondas, and a few dsm's. i dont like the ka flange pattern, they should touch not be all induvidual like that.

Are you running DE-T or E-T? I just don't want to spend the time on the sohc motor that I have now. I wanted to swap my motor 5 years ago when it was not all that common, but money prevented it. Other, more important things prevented it for quite some time and now I have the opportunity to do it and I was considering going RB25DE-T, but I want something that I can easily source parts for and from what I have seen and read, the SR can provide some serious power and most of all fun!! >:D The main thing that really has to happen for me to enjoy the damn car is that I have to get rid of the automatic trans, it's killing me. I would much rather drive my underpowered Civic with a 4spd or my 5 spd Ranger than the auto 240. I catch hell from my friends on a regular basis because I bent a wheel on the car over a year ago and have not replaced or driven it (like twice) since. Well, that is all gonna change soon I hope. The motor set should be shipping to me the first week or so of August, just gotta find some new shoes and get it all put together ;)

man E-T's can handle some power as well... check out ka-t.org seriously... and converting it to stick is so easy... jus do the petal n ---- first then tackle the conversion after so u dont have to worry bout the pedal. we got it all done in 1 day. and well worth it. to bad my motor took a ---- so im jus gonna toss it and get a fresh ka with low miles for cheap.

The wheels are already in motion, the check for the SR has already been sent, I was told alot of my accessories (intercooler, rad, clutch, etc..) are shipping out tomorrow. It's something that I have wanted to do for a looong time, so I am doing it ;)

I am not at all worried about swapping to the manual trans, just have to get a few more of the parts, hope the $300 parts car deal comes through. I will have to check out ka-t.org anyway, I always like to know what people are doing and how they are doing it.

damn that ---- looks hard. Nice work on the almost color matching paint job. It looks like a few more coats of clear and that chit would be flush ^-^

Nice, now you need to bring it up here someday... SoCal crew needs another BBQ.

that's what im talkin about... im down to drive up any time its hardly a drive up. we'll get it situated and try to get everyone. even if it aint turbo ill come up for one.

and its cool that u ordered ur sr20. the only thing you'll wonder about on the 5spd swap is makin sure u get the wiring done right, u needa take a plug off the tranny, cut and jump the 2 wire plug and plug it into the chassis harness... it's pretty simple cuz i had to do it my self. i hated my car when it was auto.

Yea, I have been wanting to do it for so long and have read what to do sooo many times, it is not even funny :-\ I think I should be able to handle any and all wiring changes, I have been doing mobile audio/video/security systems for about 12 years. I just want my damn stuff already :P

Fitment looks good! Time to get it painted :P KA-T... probably not the route I'd take personally but I've read about it being done pretty successfully. Good luck with it.
