I fixed it for you.

Seriously, hotrex needs to keep his bitch under control, no one wants to hear her mouth.

zc's are jdm motors. you will never, ever find one in a junkyard here unless someone swapped on in a car that was wrecked ;)

Nah, he's asking why D16A1's won't fit in our cars. Mounting points are completely different. With a little bit of work, you can fit D16A1's in 1st gen CRX's, but that's it, period, without custom fabrication that really isn't worth it.

D16A1 came in 86-89 Integra.

I had one in my 86 CRX Si.

Re: Pics of new zc im finishing up

86-87 Integras had brown valve cover D16A1's, which used a vacuum advance distributor and are commonly swapped into 1st gen CRX's. 88-89 Integra's had a black top valve cover D16A1 that used an electronic advance distributor, and are much harder to swap into first gen CRX's, but the mount points still don't work for any other honda, as I said, without custom fabrication that isn't worth it. The DOHC ZC has completely different mount points (that DO work in other cars that came with D-series engines) then the D16A1, but the DOHC ZC never came in the states.

Ah, yes, the three bolts holding down the distributor is so much harder.

Alternately, the five pinout changes and seven new wires you have to add to convert an 85-87 Si to OBD0 is *so hard*. That ---- takes, what, an hour? With most of that spent running the wires through the engine harness so they don't look like poopy?
