well I picked it up a few days ago. I'd been helping the previous owner repair the car last summer, since then his son had the car and took terrible care of it. father took it back, but the car wasn't in the best condition as it had been. its 1988 GTI 1.8L 16v, needs some body work and paint, motor runs, but needs a tuneup. The interior was in decent shape, but I already started to rip it apart in order to re-carpet it and get the seats reupholstered.

first major modifications will be the body work including paint, big bumpers/gti spoiler :thumbup: , dual round lights/grille/radiator support. looking into ATS Cups or 14" Bobert Ts as rims. the ultimate goal will be to have the 1.8 rebuilt and turbocharged w/ Megasquirt before winter.

yeah, I plan to take care of the body and interior work first, its my main priority as of now...it should be looking nice by the end of the summer with new paint, coilovers and rims. I don't plan to have the motor/turbo setup done until later this year around winter time. I got it for $350, it still runs(despite the body condition), so its not a total bucket, lol
