let me do jd's work here. i remember he posted this in a thread a few months ago and so i dug it up:

Flow through the core is nothing, surface area for the charge to drag against and make as much contact with as possible so actual heat transferrence takes place is GOD. For the same core size and inlet size, the more efficient IC is the one with the bigger pressure drop.

- Convection is where an actual atom/molecule absorbs heat/energy from rubbing (friction) against another atom/molecule.

2) Radiation is not what is happening in your IC.. therefore it is convection. By definition, this is a product of friction between the charge flowing through your IC and the IC itself. The more friction, the more heat is transferred out of the charge and into the IC.

So, yeah, you want to cool the intake charge, or do you want to worry about a pressure drop you'd never bother to measure anyway? Next thing you're going to tell me hp per psi is important. ::)

Mr.Davis was correct again

Oh and there turbo's are 99 percent sure the same low quality stuff from China

Im sorry all you guys are cheap but go to the yards and find some good rebuilt stock turbo's or spend the cash on a brand that is proven

it might not function as stated above, but it sure is nice looking. I think you got your wires crossed or need glasses.

conduction is the transfer of heat by friction of molecules.

convection is the transfer of heat due to movement through the air by which it rises.
