yeah, theres been a lot of talk about them lately and a lot of people wondering exactly the quality of them, so i figured i would take some close ups for every one. i paid 160 for the mani and a downpipe kit (block off flange, 90° elbow, and section of pipe with o2 bung), the dp ---- is crap, it's like 2" pipe, but i welded it up and gonna throw it on ebay to get some of the money back ;D imo, the mani is strong and should hold up fine. a lot of people have been coming out of the closet and saying they've been running them with no probs for a while. it also comes with a gasket set (exhaust, turbo, wg), all the nuts/bolts/washers you could need, and a block off plate for the wg flange.

oh yeah, there's been talk about warped flanges and what not, not the case here, all flanges are straight.......

what material are those made off, i was told those are the cheap steel (thin) and they crack easily.

my manifold runs about $599, and it is made out of a really thick steel.

it's ss, not sure exactly what sch., but it's thick enough, i honestly don't see it cracking, but ---- it, if it does crack down the road, i'll just weld it back up. this is just temp. anyways, i needed something cheap and quick. when i get the cash, i'm gonna get an equal length ---- bird mani. besides, these mani's go for over 300 on his site, they're just cheap on ebay. i'm not saying it's the best, but it's not as bad as everyone makes them out to be, most of the people that talk ---- about them (i use to be one of them) are just on the band wagon and have never even seen one in person.

sorry guys, but my manifold is not the cheap EBAY ones, it was built with a thick steel, and it came with brakets (to bot to block, from turbo, and another one to bolt from Downpipe to block).

i was told by a guy who build these for a living, that my manifold will run for 799, but after working out the prices of the turbo and other parts, i estimated about $550-$640, i paid $2800, (including a HUGE FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER) for the complete kit (all polished pipes, and parts), and about $300 for misc. parts and management.

hey dont worry about the cheap manifold, just get it re-welded the proper way, and hope it does not crack. or breaks. good luck.

even if it doesnt crack its still garbage imo. the runners are tiny, the collector looks like ass, and the wg tube/hole doesnt look like it would flow for ----. but thats just my opinion. its a good thing its temporary, that si deserves better

Hmmm....it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's no wwwlovefab.com manifold, but it might not be so bad for a low budget setup. :-\ The thing that worries me is all the people that have had them crack and fall apart. :-X

i already have it installed so i can't really weigh it, but, trust me, it's not too light. i agree, the runners are kind of small, and it may crack one day, but i think it will be fine for a while. tons of people have been running these lately with no problems. i've heard people say they've been running them for a year w/no problems. but either way, like i said, it's temporary ;)

I bought an SS when they first came out. I was so excited. I thought it was a mistake that I won the auction for $175 or whatever it was. Looked like a high-dollar manifold. I was pumped. The thing arrived and it weighed like 2 pounds. I immediatly put it back for sale on ebay then took a mean dump and watched gameshow reruns while wearing female undergarments, smearing lipstick all over my face and repeating the phrase 'Im a pretty girl'

I agree with ProjekTeg, they are alot better built than they were in the past. I have one for a B-Series on my desk, and I think it's pretty well constructed (except for the light gauge steel construction). Hmmm... I think I will use it as a pulling point for my engine hoist....lol :o
