that ---- is not fun. it's still my daily driver, but i think i'm getting too old for it. the problem is i've driven around for 4 years without a dash now it feels weird to drive a car with one.
------- ricer=me cept i don't drive like one

im puttin the plate on monday, banks were closed today for some reason so i couldnt get it today. boss tried getting me a temp credit deal so i could have it for the weekend, but the bank he uses for that was closed. full exhaust is first on my mods list, kid that used to work there before me did the same thing + handling goodies, reflashed it with a cobb map, tuned it for a night, and made 285 wheel. didnt think exhaust + tune would make such gains, but hey, more power to ya
guess i misunderstood you in these posts

exhaust will be handled n/a until i get a few bucks in the bank clear, turboing a carb when you already have it = rather cheap to do.

i can get it running for maybe $20 out of my pocket to go carb, vs a couple hundred to go efi.

i was unemployed in those posts, dealing with a piled up stack of bills. look at the dates. besides, it said that going efi was failboat. efi is for pussies, holleys holsets and hookers are all i need.

as the unhappy owner of the car in that picture (platinum silver metallic, 04 wrx) all i can say is youve got about 75 launches per clutch, and shift like the gear lever is made out of glass. in 38,000 miles im on my 2nd engine, 2 transmission, and 3rd clutch.
with the stock turbo you will get in the LOW 13s, but NEVER break 250 whp.
enjoy your new money pit, youl realize its no faster than a turbo honda, but 4 times as expensive

right, thats because there is HUNDREDS of stock td04 wrx's making over 300whp. right. learn to ------- drive, wrx's were not made for launching. they are a sporterized impreza, not a ------- sti. who cares if its 4x more than a turbo honda? how is the honda any better?

im just saying, they're DEFINANTLY fun little cars. you just gotta be gentle with them. if you plan on modding it at all, just remember; dont boost more than 17 psi on the stock turbo, AND get an uppipe before you do anything with it.
on mine, i had an equal length header, catless uppipe, 3" catless turboback exhast, and a boost controller set at 17psi. after i put in the exedy stage 1 clutch it was rippin off 13.15@105 they're fun little cars man, i hope you have good luck with it

nog edit, the best way to launch it is to dump the clutch around 5500-6000 rpm, you wanna spin the front tires a little so you dont spin the clutch
