Victimless crime is an oxymoron, Frank.

I have made my value judgement based on personal experience with marijuana, and the sort of people who like to smoke it, and that judgement is that Phelps is very likely a ------- retard. At no time does this morally or logically justify a criminal charge, as his behavior hurts no one, and he is keeping his stupidity to himself; he isn't bothering anyone.

How do you come to the conclusion that someone who smokes pot needs criminal charges, Frank? His behavior is most definitely not for you or for me, but since he's keeping it to himself behind closed doors why should we care?

That's my $0.02, anyway.

Obviously you don't care about the kids JD.

What kind of world would this be if people got their dick sucked because Clinton did it, smoked pot because Phelps did it, and peed on girls because of R. Kelly?

Think about it.

So why aren't they demonizing him over having a drink of alcohol? I mean, the legality of marijuana is a manufactured situation, it's not like the majority of a township is turning out of their own free will to protest it like they used to roll out and block saloon entryways less tha a hundred years ago. Double standard.

Also, anyone subjected to the public spotlight will always be found "lacking" in some manner. Phelps just cares about swimming, why the ---- should he be subjected to more stringent social restrictions than the common person, why is he not allowed to make the sort of mistakes a common person needs to make in order to learn and grow wise from? That is some bullshit hypocrisy right there.

In the Davis household, my daughter is instructed in thinking for herself, and deprogrammed of society's indoctrination in hero worship. Admire the person's skill if you want, but only dumbasses put other people on pedestals. I'm not perfect, her mom's not perfect, she won't grow up perfect, and nobody else on the ------- planet is perfect - anyone saying otherwise is an assclown. "We make mistakes to learn from them," is rule number one, "thinking about the consequences of your actions," is rule number two, and they are intertwined.

I'm glad that your daughter is getting good information from her father about life. Too many young girls these days are a product of television, advertising, laziness and inept parenting.
Good work, Joey

Hell yeah my kids will be thought to respect and admire someone for their accomplishments, but act on their own thoughts and morals not those of others.

Frank I still don't see why you are so dead set he needs punishment. Who has the right to decide what is right in wrong in harmless/victimless crimes? Like I said before if they suddenly banned alcohol again you would trash your equipment and never have a drink again?

victimless crime or not, it's against the law. Treat him like you would the rest of society. What I am sick of is these professional athiletes who run around like they aren't the people they are and doing what they want to do. When you have status, you don't go out and delibertly do the wrong thing. Its just something you don't do anymore. Especially when you endorse drug free programs and then run out and toke it up.

I mean, ----. You can even work at McDonalds, and smoke weed anymore. You work at McDonalds, smoke weed...get busted, you dont have a job. Michael Phelps has a picture of his lips wrapped around a bong all over the internet and says hes sorry...and thats that because he wasn't hurting anyone its ok and its something everyone has done? Get real....I dont even agree with .02 of your cents. Sorry.
