Overdraft monsters ate my paycheck
This is mostly a rant.
That ---- ever happen to you? Miss one transaction and it tosses like 4 others out of skew, and you end up with like 4 or 5 overdraft fees. At $33 a pop, that instantly kills a hefty chunk of money.
And wtf happened to those fees, a few years back I was only paying $18 each, now its $33? Greed owned.
In the words of Harold from Harold and Kumar, "----."

Re: Overdraft monsters ate my paycheck
I had a new credit card with 0% interest for blah blah months. I maxed that bitch, then made a payment for $800 on the same day I bought something for $800 (so I wouldn't go over my credit line). I made the payment the day before Marthur Luther King day, and bought the ---- the day after and the purchase went through before the payment.
So they jacked me up to 26% and I told them to ---- off.
Banks and Marthur Luther King suck dick.

you should call the bank and try to scheme something. I used to do that all the time, get last overdraft fees, and I would call and complain about not having money or what nots, usually it works and they retract the fees, if not all, some of them which is better than nothing

Go in and tell them that you want to close your account because of their insane overdraft charges. They usually are willing to take some of them away just to keep your money. If they don't then just go to another bank. Credit Unions>most large banks

Re: Overdraft monsters ate my paycheck
damn, 33 bucks hell, my bank just gave me 500 dollars in overdraft protection, they use to just draft it out of savings if i didn't have it in checking, but if i didn't have it all, i was fucked, the check would bounce, i'd owe the bank and the person the check was to. now, they'll cover 500 bucks, but i still have to pay 20 dollars per transaction if they dip in to that 500. i wasn't even thinking and wanted to 'test' their system and see if i could take that money out of the atm also, so i took all the money i had in checking out of the atm, then made another transaction to dip into the overdraft fund, and they actually even let me take the money out, but it ended up costing me 20 bucks for the fee :P

Re: Overdraft monsters ate my paycheck
haha i HAD a 1k overdraft pertection. Cashed out the 1k and was in the negative. Didn't pay it back for like 6-8 months. What does that mean? A 1k loan for the measling fee of 22 dollars
Now my overdraft limit is at their discretion They may or may not cover a 1k overdraft anymore. Oh well, I don't care
