Default opinions on Kahr CW9 pistol?

KAHR CW9...9mm, compact, polymer frame w/SS slide.

thinking about buying that. there is a couple at a local gun store, one new one and one slightly used one (with holster).

will be a conceal carry...

if its reliable, and you shoot it well id say buy it. try one out at the range and see if your comfortable with it.

edited to add.

this is my next possible purchase when i sell my 240 convertible. sometimes i dont wanna deal with tryin to hide my gun, so i kinda want something a bit smaller and could throw this in my pocket if im not up for carrying the 1911.

and as an added bonus ill have 2 handguns instead of only 1, and am twice as cool

think the used one was 420bucks and the new one was like 450?

he let me fire 5 rounds threw one at the range. plus im pretty sure i fired a bunch of rounds threw one before, cuz i remember that heavy/long trigger pull. they where decently grouped.

i was liking that one a little more over the Glock cuz it is skinnier and that much more concealable (also cheaper). but it comes at a cost, it only holds 7/8+1 vs 15+1 of the Glock. but how many shots will i really need? im sure 8 will do the job (plus i can always have another clip).

guy at the gun shop said that the Kahr's are nice guns, was recommending it over the Taurus, but said you can never go wrong with a Glock (19)... but im never really sure i wanna trust someone trying to sell me ----...

i hate glocks.

you can get an xd9/40 for not much more than that, or the s&w m&p is pretty nice, id like to get one in 9 so i can shoot it a lot and not go broke.

this is the compact 9, holds 12+1.
join OpenCarry.org and check out the washington section, guns go up for sale fairly often and you can buy direct from someone and skip the dealer.

I second that the S&W M&P is a nice piece...

I conceal carry a Taurus PT 111, it is easy to conceal, and it fits in my hand properly. Mag holds 12+1.
I have had zero problems with it, and Taurus has the unlimited lifetime warranty too. I paid $360.

Kahr's are good guns. I have a PM9 and a CW9 and they have been reliable.

The one thing you have to remember about Kahr's is that they will only function reliably with Kahr mags. I have some Promags and they just can't get it right.

Even Kahr can mess up on the mags. Just check them over and over. It's usually the pin that activates the slide stop. If they don't work, send them back to

Kahr to get new ones. They are good about it.

revolver is a better ccw, no shells to eject and leave more evidence. I'll be picking up a small s&w or taurus .38cal hammerless revolver. I also need a g17 with a 33rd extendo magazine.

yeah, if they can trace the bullet back to a barrel. But a shell is even more evidense to deal with. If you watch the first 48, you'll see all the nigs get caught cuz they never destroy the gun.
