A70 Supra's are fun, but yeah I'd put money on the HG being blown. It's easy to fix though, I also agree to check out supramania. It's a great site, lots of info there. They are super easy to mod as well, 3" downpipe and catback, intake, and a boost controller and it'll be a great car.

There are guys out there making a ton of power out of bone stock motors, last I heard there were a few guys running around 700 out of stock motors and stock head gaskets. Just look after it and it'll be a great car. 99% of the time the weak link in a A70 is the owner :P

You know the only reson you will have to do a headgasket job more then once is because you cheaped out the first time.
1.resurface the head
2.check and resurface the block if nessacary(its an iorn block so most of the time its fine)
3.Buy a GOOD headgasket(not off ebay or anyware else its uber cheap) and arp studs or head bolts
NOTE-Toyota head bolts on the 7m are one time use bolts after you take them out trash them
4.Follow arp torque specs not toyotas
5.replace worn out parts like rad. hoses, coolent hoses, gaskets and vac lines as you go
6.enjoy

It's super clean, why would the owner risk freezing up coolant passages.

Probably head gasket though. Which would be why it's sitting, and the coolant is drained, the dude couldn't even pay rent. :S

suprising he actually gave him the keys. and they have been talking about the title. the guy is just gonna give it up instead of going to court over all the unpaid rent and damages to the house.
