Old motorcycle towed and form mailed to me?
Well i sold my old motorcycle 6-29-08, and today i get a peice of paper saying it was towed and that I am the last registered owner, since the bike was a salvage bike i didnt have a title so i guess the nig i sold it to didnt turn in any of the papers to transfer ownership to him. So the peice of paper in the mail says i owe the towing company about a G. My question is this, since he never registered the bike, its still technically mine, so can I go and pay the fee to get it out and have the bike be mine again? I have a peice of paper stating that i sold the bike to him with his name signiture and date stating that I sold the bike. What should i do?

Well it was a while back, but I believe i mailed in a report of sale and release of liability, but he didnt register it, therefore I am the last registered owner. Im gonna go check it out on monday, Think I have any chance of lowballing the towing co and getting it out for cheaper?

Re: Old motorcycle towed and form mailed to me?
I ran into a similar situ in WA. Parked my bike in "someone else's spot" at an apt. complex. It got towed and it was more to get it out than it cost ($200.00 bike). I told them "keep it". They said there fee was $500.00 bucks for the tow. I told them "I didn't call you for the tow, nor did I request that service, now kindly ---- your self." They said they would take action and blah blah blah. About 3 months later I get a letter saying they auctioned it off at the impound for $445.00 and I owed them $55.00. Once again I told them to ---- themselves with sharp objects. I signed a release of title agreement and told them to sue me for the remaining amount. About 9 months later, the ------- the sold it too got like 6 parking tickets from the Seattle One-tyme, and DMV send a letter saying there are "unpaid tickets, licence suspension, blah" I Go to the DMV and explain and they told me, to tell them, to shove large object into their ---- cavities. End of story.
