I know this is probably some bad voodoo ---- but I haven't blown mine yet. Stock top and bottom ends. D16z6. 11 psi daily for 4 months. Hope this isn't bad luck.

I'm on engine #8 in the Civic, but I cant take credit for the ones that were already bad.

#1 - spun bearing (my fault, non turbo)
#2 - Hydrolock (non turbo, bad luck)
#3 - Cracked ringlands (boosted)

beat the piss out of my stock b16 for about 7 mos., throwing 13-15 psi at it all day, not even tuned, just an uber basemap. did a leak down test after the turbo and everything was still gravy. i have hydrolocked a b18, but that wasn't boost related :P

ZC 8psi, Spiked to the point were my boost gauge buried (20psi!!!) two or three times trying to go to 10psi on a shitty mbc.

175-180 compression across the board and not knocks burning or nothing

THE D-SERIES LIVES FOR ANOTHER SEASON OF RAPING!

I've never blew my engine, for 105,000 miles and all sorts of different combinations of bullshit, it is still going strong

;D Well i have blown either one yet.The trailer park 283 got a beating. We ran 15 psi to it an have ran it out of fuel under boost an cranked timeing up.Then swaped out turbo with better one then swapped out for a bigger one.Motor still lives on my engine stand now as a 350 with 11-1 comp now takes its place an i have run it with out a wasgate an blown the aircleaner in 2 like a jiffy pop popcorn pan.Repaired that an upped the secondaries for more fuel an she still lives.Need to upgrade trans now cuz third gear cant hold under boost.Jeff an i are now gonna put the wide band on it an tune it right instead of tunning it by the seat of our pants.Gonna crank the boost up at that time an see what happens. So far chevy motors can handle the punishment of the turbos. The question now is how much.Time will tell

I've blown every single B-series turbo setup except for my LS/vtec Twin turbo, and I've blown every single D-series other than my Mini-me turbo setups.

I like to see what happens when I turn the allen wrench :-\
