Oil blowing through breather

I just got done driving my accord, and it started smelling like I was burning oil, I popped the hood and a bunch of oil had sprayed out of my breather filter. I have never taken the car to redline since boosted and after I did it did this ??? I am running half synthetic 10w 40 oil, I don't know if this could cause it, I don't think I blew the rings becuase it still pulls really hard. any thoughts?

---- :( less than 1,000 miles boosted too, I'll do a compression test and see what happens. The car does have about 157,000 miles on it, I just figured maybe it could be from my gude cam, or a small amount of blowby, but I'll see if I can drive it till winter and than swap, its been in the garage more than its been driven this summer. Plus it only does it when driven hard and I hit full boost by 3000rpm and it does'nt do it then only at high revs.(red line)

you're cams aren't to blame, there is a bunch of stuff in the top of the valve cover to keep oil in, your problem is massive blowby, I had the same problem.

N00b alert!!!

Blowby is caused by a bad head gasket though not owned ringlands correct? SkinnyE, aren't you only on a basemap too?

for a second there I thought you were calling me out as a n00b, but then I figured ---- out. blow by means that combustion gasses blow-by your rings. if you blow your headgasket you can have alot of different things happen, sometimes the combustion gasses will blow into another cylinder and you'll lose power there, also with a blown headgasket you can get coolant into the combustion chamber or have oil and coolant mixing.

Yes I'm running on a basemap, I looked at it closely and it is smoking so the rings are pretty much toast, I'm assuming.I checked the pcv valve and it was clogged, I unclogged it and it did'nt help any. I can still drive it but I don't plan too since I have another car and I don't want to get stranded somewhere. Yes I am a noob at the turbo stuff since this is my first setup and for the next one I plan to do it right. Built motor, and big ass turbo. thanks for the help if it was'nt for someone else telling me it could be the rings I would still be in denial right now and putting oil in every 10 miles.
