well, i've been boosted for about 5 mos and only had a 6lb spring for my wastegate, i tried to make a boost controller, but i couldn't find the right t fitting anywhere in town, so i just gave up, so i've been stuck a 6 psi, which isn't ----. then the bov issue, i was using a cheap *** bosch bov that i though was working, everyone said they make a fluttering sound which is what i was hearing, well after having a boost leak one day and suspecting the bov, i taped it off to see if i could build boost, well, still no boost, but i still got the fluttering, this is impossible, so i realized the bov wasn't even working and it was compressor surge i've been hearing the whole time :P i guess that explains why everytime i changed gears i had no boost and had to respool from 0 well, to make a long story short, i ordered an rfl and an mbc that i can mount in the car. wow, i can't wait to actually have a real bov on!

 

Good deal Kev!! You'll have to make another vid so we can hear the RFL. Did you get a real Turbo XS or a fake-o ebay RFL, I got the ebay jaun and it sounds nice.

i gots me the same one. only i paid $10. more for it. you lucky dog. it's still worth the extra $10 i paid for it. ----'s loud. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE ALL THAT STICKY GREASE FROM THE INSIDE AND COAT IT WITH MOTOR OIL! for it not to flutter. mine was fluttering and after i cleaned off that sticky grease it was all good inda hood! it's loud too, even with the windows a/c and music stil loud.

 

Glad to see you're getting some issues fixed and will soon be able to enjoy a properly working boosted car. Don't forget about us though, we want updates!
