I understand banning every member who the collective "In crowd" or whatever decides is stupid but locking and deleting threads started about him is plain out H-T.

the mods aren't supposed to win. the users are. the mods are supposed to just throw down the ban hammer when the community decides what happens. that's what a democracy is, and so far forums are not democracies.
