it'll need a rebuilt then, bearings and rings.
its not that big of a deal to do bearings and rings

since it was my own personal experience it does mean alot to me. 40,000 boosted miles with absolutely no problems, that proved to me that you can have a reliable boosted Honda. 80% of the kits built on this site are doomed to being unreliable though. It all depends on how much money you put into something

this has been a descution with some of my friends and co-workers also, expecally after the CRX... they hear i will be turbocharging my GTI and say it will blow up... i look at them and say "yeah that bitch is gonna throw a rod, and break second gear" cuz it probly will....why? for the same reason lots of car here break, i will drive the ------ car hard, push it too its limits...
you shouldnt be comparing all turbo honda's together....some are turbocharged and will be very daily driver freindly... but with most people here they just wont stay withing the HP/boost limits of a Honda...

so true. most people on here that blown there motors cuz they push the limits of there honda by increasing the boost. Or they don't tune it right. if you just tune it right and run maybe 9 10 psi you should be fine. Its just how you take care of her.

9 10psi out of most turbos is more than doubling the engines designed output.
there are not a ton of NA engines from any manufactuer that can double their output reliably.
lots of factory turbos motors can do this, but they were designed to take the heat created in the process
