Official HMT Member Write-UP Contest
Ok guys, this has been a long time in the making. Time to dust off the grinder and flux-core welder and get to work on a new project, it might just get you some new shiny parts for free.
We are looking for technical write-ups on your creative HMT projects or builds, so start snapping pics...and get typing. The ideal write-up should have plenty of pictures to depict what was done as well as detailed text to outline the specifics and the procedure for what you did. These should be the type of threads people will link their friends to when they have a question on how something should be done, not just a before and after pic of how you welded your turbo directly to your stock manifold.
Ideally, the projects will include everything HMT is about. This includes being cost conscious, clean, and creative...definitely a few zip ties and JB Weld is a must. It doesn't have to be a full buildup of a car, it can be one aspect if it is interesting enough, well explained and well detailed. If at all possible (those looking for bonus points), dyno #'s and track times would be great so we can see if what you did really worked. Even better, if you end up doing your project in stages, get BASELINE numbers and numbers after various parts are added.
Here are a some great examples of how it should be done:

Something like this would be great with more info/captions in the first post:

Why would this be worth your time you ask? Because once all the submissions are in (deadline is Augsut 31st), we will have an HMT-wide vote for the winners and they will get a prize from one of our sponsors. Top voted winners will get to pick one item from the prize pool each, in order until there are no items left.
Right now there are 6 sponsors on board that will be donating the following prizes (hopefully more will jump on board):
Knock-Off Type S BOV courtesy of Evans Performance
Oversized Throttle Body courtesy of PB Tuning
Custom T-Shirt / Sticker Package courtesy of Imburne Clothing
Free Injector Cleaning courtesy of KG Parts
Chipped OBD1 ECU courtesy of Xenocron Tuning Solutions
Vacuum Manifold courtesy of Tuner Toys
There may even be more prizes, so check back for more updates.
Here are the rules:
Remember that the reason we are doing this is for good content, to help improve HMT and to make it fun
Thats about it, so have fun and lets see what you guys can come up with. Remember to keep it HMT and have some fun with it.

Here are the rules:
- You must be a member of the site to enter. Anyone who signs up after today will not be eligible. Moderators, owners and sponsors are exempt from this winning the contest, but are encouraged to do their own write-ups to add.
- This must be YOUR project, dont walk next door to your neighbors house and take pics of him putting a twin-turbo setup on his Chevelle.
- You must be working on the car your self, you wont get credit for work done at a shop. This doesnt mean EVERYTHING has to be done by you...but certainly a majority of the work should. Not everyone has their own welder and not everyone tunes their own car, we understand this. We also encourage you to get your friends to help. It's much easier to document and take pictures with help around.
- Please take this seriously, we have worked hard to get the sponsors to chip in some decent prizes. I may even toss in an extra $100 cash to the winner if I think overall the contest goes as well as I hope.

Re: Official HMT Member Write-UP Contest
Do I get extra points for grenading a BMW engine and cooking the harness? Haha. Right now I'm sitting on 3 engine management systems, none of which do much more then dump a **** ton of fuel at all rpms and refuse to idle my 55#'s :1
