I have the 9800 pro and it roxors runs doom3 and farcry like a champ and i can get 500-1000 fps on medal of honor my fav game.

They both make good reliable cards.

My new notebook has an ATI 128mb Radeon 9700....definitely keeps up with any game I've played. Although my batter life on this notebook sucks lol but what could I expect.

from my experiance nVidia last longer, better drivers, better support, and is better. they have the fastest card on the market. Even though u may spend a bit more ($10-15) its welll worth it.

Whichever one has the most colorful and pretty box. That's normally a good thing to go by when choosing video cards. But asking if Nvidia or ATI is better is kind of like asking if BMW or Mercedes is better. They're both pretty good.
